‘The land that is referred in Mahabharat as ‘Cambhoj Desh’, is currently known as Cambodia ! Hindus used to reside here till the 15th century. It is said that ‘Hindu empire of Khmer used to rule this region from year 802 to 1421’.

In the temple situated on the banks of the river Kalisindh, it has been observed that the lamp is lit with water and not with ghee or oil. The temple is known as Gadiaghat Mata temple.
‘Darpan’ is one of the rituals in Deity’s worship in the temples wherein a mirror is shown to the Deity or sun rays are reflected from the mirror to the Deity. For this purpose, Kerala has a tradition of using characteristic mirrors made of metal.
There are multiple carvings on the walls of compound of the temple. The left and right sides of the main entrance bear carvings of scenes of war. It contains the scenes of war between Khmer (Cambodian) and Champa (Vietnamese) soldiers.

‘The Shyam desh of the olden days is Thailand of today. Several Hindu and Buddhist kings have ruled this land. Its culture was based on Hindu Dharma, but with passage of time due to cultural invasions of the Buddhists Buddhism became prevalent here.
The Batu mountain range is situated 16 kilometres from Kuala Lumpur, the capital of Malyasia. This cave made up of limestone found in this mountain according to scientists is 40 crore years old. 272 steps lead to this huge cave. After walking a distance of 100 meters in the cave is the temple of Kartikeya.
