Wherever the skin remains moist due to sweating such as the thighs, armpits, legs and buttocks sometimes there is itching followed by appearance of small boils which spread in a ring pattern. Given further are remedies to overcome this.

1. Everyday wash the affected parts with plain water 2 to 3 times a day and wipe with a dry cloth. Then apply your own saliva on the lesions. It has been observed that these lesions disappear within 8 to 10 days. Refrain from applying soap to these areas throughout the day.

2. Pour some water in a copper or glass tumbler. Dip all five fingers of the right hand into it and recite each of the 2 mantras given further 21 times.

ॐ पां पार्वतीभ्यां नमः ।
Om pam Parvatibhyam namaha
and
ॐ वां वागीश्‍वरीभ्यां नमः ।
Om vam Vagishwaribhyam namaha.

Apply some of the charged water to the affected parts and drink the rest.

Avoid use of soap for healthy skin !

Since toilet soap contains artificial substances its application makes the skin dry. To prevent this use utne instead of soap. Two teaspoons of utne is sufficient for application to the full body during a bath. Multani mitti (fuller’s earth) or mud from an anthill can also be used.

Though it is ideal not to use soap when bathing some feel the need to do so to remove the excessive oil applied before the bath. If you do apply soap then do not scrub too much. This retains the required amount of oil on the skin, does not soil clothes and keeps the skin soft.
