Shaligram is a sacred stone, a symbol of ShriVishṇu. Situated 300 miles from Pashupatinath in Nepal is a place called Muktanath.

Vishnusahasranam is a famous stotra (A hymn of praise) of ShriVishnu. Amidst recitation of these thousand Names, ShriVishnu is ritualistically worshipped with an offering of tulsi (Holybasil) leaves or lotus flowers.

In the Shrimadbhagwat, Maharshi Vyas has written, ‘In Vaikunth everyone looks alike Shrivishnu. There is only one symbol on the body of Shrivishnu which distinguishes Him from the others.

An unrighteous king from the Haihaiya dynasty Mahishmati Naresh Kartavirya Sahastrarjun performed rigorous austerities for thousands of years and pleased Bhagwan Dattatreya. He assimilated immense strength and acquired the blessing to adorn a thousand arms.
