Method of casting off the evil-eye and How to remove Black Magic (Karani) using Coconut

1. Importance of casting off the
evil eye and black magic using a coconut

1 A. Coconut attracts positive as well as negative waves. Raja-Tama predominant waves are drawn into the coconut in a shorter time and because of the inherent sattvikta (Purity) of the coconut, they are disintegrated to a large extent inside the coconut.

1 B. Capacity of coconut to cast off the evil eye is greater when compared with other substances used for the purpose; hence, it is considered superior in its ability to remove the black energy covering beginning from the subtle-body. Any evil eye of superior nature can be cast off using a coconut.

1 C. Coconut is all-encompassing and hence, can be used to cast off any type of evil eye and to remove black magic (karani).

2. Method of casting off the evil eye using a coconut

Prayers

  • The individual afflicted by evil eye should pay obeisance to Deity Maruti and pray thus – ‘O Maruti, draw all the distressing vibrations within me (Pronounce own name) into this coconut and destroy them’.
  • The individual who is casting off the evil eye should pay obeisance to Deity Maruti and pray thus – ‘O Deity Maruti, draw all the distressing vibrations within and outside the body of the individual afflicted by evil eye into this coconut and destroy them from their root. Let the protective sheath of your grace remain constantly around me while casting off the evil eye’.

The Act

1. The coconut to be used for casting off the evil eye should be completely peeled off leaving      just a tuft.

2.  Individual who is casting off the evil eye should hold the coconut in his cupped hands and             stand in front of the afflicted individual. The tuft of the coconut should face the afflicted                 individual.

3. The affected individual should look at the tuft of the coconut.

4. Move the coconut thrice in a clockwise direction from the feet to the head of the afflicted               individual in a circular manner. Then circumambulate the afflicted individual three times.             During these circumambulations, hold the point of the tuft of the coconut facing the                         individual whose evil eye is being cast off. Evil eye can also be cast off collectively by                       making a   group sit in one place.

5. Dispose the coconut used for casting off evil eye as follows

  • In case of mild or moderate distress to the afflicted individual, the coconut used for casting off the evil eye should be broken at a junction of three roads.
  • In case the distress of the afflicted individual is severe, the coconut used for casting off the evil eye should be broken in a Maruti temple. If a Maruti temple is not nearby, then the coconut should be broken on the steps of any nearby temple whose Deity is either jagrut (In an awakened state) or is a superior Deity. It is incorrect to just leave the coconut on the steps. Breaking the coconut is appropriate.
  • In case the afflicted individual is suffering from severe distress, the coconut can be immersed in flowing water.
  • If case none of the above mentioned aspects are possible, then worship the sattvik picture of Deity Maruti near the house, follow it up with a prayer to Deity Maruti to destroy the negative energies, and then break the coconut in front of this picture of Deity Maruti.
  • “While breaking the coconut or while immersing it in water, hail Deity Maruti thrice saying, ‘Let Deity Maruti be victorious’.

Normally, the coconut offered as Naivedya (Holy sacrament) to God should be consumed; however, the coconut used for casting off the evil eye should not be consumed; because this can lead to getting afflicted by distress due to the negative energy that has been absorbed into the coconut.

3. Subtle-process taking place
during casting off the evil eye using a coconut

Picture depicting the subtle-process taking place when a coconut is used for casting off the evil eye

Footnotes :

1. Distressing vibrations: 3%

2.  Proportion of vibrations in the picture based on subtle-knowledge: Divine Principle                         0.75%, Marak-shakti (Destroyer Energy) 2% and Black energy 3%.

Other aspects

  • Coconut has the ability to attract all the three components in the universe – Sattva-predominant, Raja-predominant and Tama-predominant. Hence, during ritualistic worship and in acts such as casting off the evil eye, coconut is widely used. These vibrations enter the coconut through its tuft.”
  • When a coconut is waved over an individual for casting off the evil eye, it attracts the black energy vibrations from the individual like a magnet. These vibrations remain in the coconut.
  • Such a coconut is immersed in flowing water or broken. When this coconut is broken, the bursting sound it makes disintegrates the black energy absorbed within it.
  • When black energy is attracted into the coconut, there is a battle between the positive vibrations already present in the coconut and the black energy.

4. Science underlying breaking the coconut used for casting off the evil eye on an individual having medium or mild distress at the junction of three roads

An individual experiences medium or mild distress when he/she is afflicted by evil eye of a mild or medium energy, meaning, that of a ghost or a demon. In such cases, when the coconut used for casting off the evil eye is broken at the junction of three roads, because of the power of inferior Deities there, the distressing waves in the coconut are destroyed.

5. Science underlying the act of breaking the coconut used for casting off the evil eye on the steps of a temple of Deity Maruti /superior Deity / where Deity is in jagrut state, or immersing it in flowing water

An individual is said to have severe distress when he/she is afflicted by evil eye of a superior level negative energy, for example a mantrik. In such cases, the coconut used for casting off the evil eye should not be broken at the junction of three roads; because, to destroy the superior distressing vibrations in the coconut, the Shakti (Divine Energy) of a superior Deity are required. When the coconut is broken at the junction of three roads, the distressing vibrations from the coconut may not get completely destroyed. As a result, the possibility of the individual suffering from distress once again increases. Under such circumstances, adopt the measures given ahead.

  • Break the coconut in Maruti temple

Maruti is a Deity associated with manifest Shakti. Hence, it has 70% capacity to destroy negative energies. When the coconut is broken in a Maruti temple, the distressing energy in the coconut is struck upon and gets destroyed.

  • Break the coconut on the steps of the temple of a superior Deity or on that of a Deity that is in jagrut state

After casting off the evil eye using a coconut, if a Maruti temple is not nearby for breaking the coconut, then break it on the steps of the temple of a superior Deity or on the steps of the temple of a Deity that is in jagrut state; because these jagrut sites too have the capacity to destroy the negative energies.

After casting off the evil eye, it is improper to merely place the coconut on the temple steps instead of breaking it. After casting off the evil eye, instead of breaking the coconut, some people merely place it on the steps of a temple. By doing so, there is likelihood of the vibrations from the coconut spreading into the environment and with passage of time pollute the temple premise. The concerned individual may also incur the associated sin.

6. Effect on the coconut after moving it around the
individual whose evil eye or black magic is to be cast off

A. Effects on coconut when the effect of the evil eye is moderate

  • When the coconut is broken, the water in the coconut gushes out, sometimes to a height of 1-2 meters.
  • The coconut turns out to be spoilt after it is broken

B. Effects on coconut when the effect of the evil eye is severe

  • The coconut breaks vertically.
  • Coconut breaks into many small pieces.
  • Coconut does not break easily; because the negative energy that is causing distress is powerful. As a result, the black energy that has been absorbed in the coconut is greater. If the coconut breaks in the first attempt, the one performing the act does not experience distress. If not, he can experience distress.
  • If the coconut slips out of the hand while breaking, it keeps bouncing.
  • When the negative energy is very powerful, the coconut at times slips away and it is not found.

C. Understanding the characteristics and severity
of black magic (karani) through the effects on the coconut

Effect of black magic (karani) on the coconut Intensity of black magic (karani) Special charateristics of karani
1. ‘Coconut becoming heavy 20 Karani done to cause distress such as consistently feeling uncomfortable, not being able to think, heaviness of head etc.
2. Water in the coconut drying up  29 Karani done to cause distress through the medium of food in order to reduce the feeling of hunger
3. Coconut turning black  32 Karani done to cause distress such as making the bones weak
4.  Coconut breaking into many pieces 35 Karani done to spread black energy in the cells of the entire body
5.  Coconut not breaking 40 Karani done to kill an individual
6. Coconut slipping from the hand and not being found 70  Karani done to kill an individual and subsequently to bring its subtle-body under control

Footnotes:

  • When the severity of black magic reaches 100%, the individual gets suicidal thoughts and commits suicide immediately after getting the thought.

When a coconut is waved around an individual to remove black magic, the black energy in that individual disintegrates to some extent. On the other hand, if an individual performs spiritual practice, the proportion of distress reduces to a much greater extent in that individual. This is the importance of performing spiritual practice.

    • Namaskar Shri. Manoj Bhargav ji,

If a vehicle passes over a coconut thrown on the road after being used for removing evil eye, then the negativity that has got entrapped into it can adversely affect the vehicle and the people in the vehicle. The distress can be physical or subtle in nature.
Hence, if an individual happens to pass over a coconut used for removing evil eye, then he / she and the other people travelling along, should get the evil eye remedy performed on themselves. Also, cast off the evil eye from the vehicle. Purify the vehicle spiritually. (Please note that the evil eye removal remedy performed on the vehicle and people sitting in the vehicle must be performed by a third person).

  1. Is the coconut required to be moved in clockwise or anti-clockwise direction? Because, one of the gurujis from my locality told me to move it anti-clockwise.

Not only this, he said that the coconut should be wrapped in black cloth and drop it off in flowing water.

Another said that the coconut should be wrapped in white cloth and drop it off in flowing water.

Which of the above theories is correct ?

The coconut must be moved thrice in the clockwise direction from the affected person’s feet to the head.

There is no need to wrap the coconut. It can be immersed in flowing water as such.

Today morning I saw one coconut (not broken), limbu and maybe some flowers in a small cardboard box kept at parking spot while I was about to park my bike. This is quite an active area with grocery shops around. There were other bikes already parked in the morning near it. This spot is near to a road junction. I didn’t park and searched some space in opposite direction. While putting my bike on double stand, my bike slipped a bit and hit a nearby Activa and it this broke a small plastic piece from its handle extension. The bike is anyways old but since it happened just after this incident, I am a bit concerned. Please advise if there is something I can do to ensure this does not affect me or my family. Thank you in advance.

      Thank you for contacting us.

You can purify your bike spiritually. Also you can have someone perform the ritual to remove the evil-eye on yourself and your bike.

As far as possible, the ritual of casting away the evil-eye must be performed in the evening. This period is conducive to remove the negative energy vibrations affecting the person.
However, if you feel that the negative energy distress is high, then it would also be okay to perform the ritual 2-3 times a day, or 2-3 times continuously.

There are a few important factors to remember when it comes to performing this ritual. The person who is doing this ritual (of casting away the evil eye from someone else) should not have negative energy distress. This person should have Bhav unto God. This person should have a spiritual level that is higher than that of the person who has been afflicted by the evil eye. Especially, a Saint performing this ritual will provide higher benefit. However, out of these criteria, if the person has intense Bhav unto God, then they can still perform the ritual.
