Purity between the music composed in the mythological episodes broadcasted on television channels and the classical notes sung by Pandit Jasraj

Divine Knowledge obtained by a seeker through the subtle dimension

Shri. Ram Honap

1. Spontaneous hearing of Pandit Jasraj’s recital of
opening section of classical song, heard 4-5 years back, while asleep

Around 4-5 years back I had seen few episodes of the television serial “Devo ke dev Mahadev”. It contained few distinctive classical notes sung by Pandit Jasraj. Later I forgot about it completely. Four months back I started getting to hear those classical notes again and again while asleep. I could not comprehend the reason behind this. Thereafter I listened to the audio cassette containing background music of the television serial and the audio cassette containing Pandit Jasraj’s recordings. Given below is the knowledge I acquired on this.

2. Knowledge obtained on the background music
present in the television serial “Devo ke dev Mahadev”

As compared to the other mythological serials which have 1-2% sattvikta (Purity), the few instances of the background music contained in this serial have 7-10% sattvikta. The reason behind this is the spiritual practice of the music composer and the maximum inclusion of Indian musical instruments.

3. Spiritual level of the music composer and
the resultant proportion of sattvikta in the music

Spiritual level of the music composer Proportion of sattvikta in the music (%)
40 10
50 20
60 30

4. Purification of lotus through musical tones

With the union of words, subtle vibrations and aalaap emerging from the navel region, symphony is created. Sattvikta generated by the virtue of this process results in step by step purification of individual petals of the lotus flower present in the Swadhisthan chakra and the chakras in the higher order. The Kundalini chakras also get purified as a result of this. This is termed as purification of lotus flower through musical tones.

5. Deity Shiva gets appeased quickly through
the musical tones emerging from the navel region

When most of the pure tones start emerging from the navel region, the resulting song attains the calibre of the inner music. Deity Shiva gets appeased quickly through such singing.

6. Types of aalaap in singing

There are three types of singing,

A. External singing : Notes are sung solely through the throat

B. Intermediate singing : Few notes are sungthrough the mouth and few emerge from the navel region. For e.g. Pandit Jasraj

C. Inner singing : Most of the notes emerge from navel region

7. Specialities of Pandit Jasraj

A.     Spiritual level : Pandit Jasraj has a sage like personage. His spiritual level is 59%.

B.     Notes sung by Pandit Jasraj are pure and incomparison with the aalaap sung in the heaven, aalaap sung by Pandit Jasraj are 30% divine in nature. Therefore the audience experiences heavenly singing to the extent of 30%.

8. Spiritual experiences obtained by the seeker
after listening to the aalaap sung by Pandit Jasraj

Mind became introvert, had intense remembrance of God, and experienced the depth of the notes sung.

9. Thoughts emerged in the mind of
the seeker related to musical audio cassettes

Variety of music is currently prevailing in the society. Collection of sattvik music, easy to comprehend, should be attempted and made available to those interested in sattvik music and inclined towards performing spiritual practice through the medium of music. Sanatan is publishing holy text for providing theoretical knowledge on music and this should be complimented with the audio recordings of sattvik music. This will help society understand the essence of the sattvik music. We should prepare collection of selected musical albums for this purpose.
