Saraswatilok : The abode of Shri Saraswati Devi

1. Location of Saraswatilok in the universe

Saraswatilok is a sub-region of the Brahmalok. Both the tarak and marak forms       of ShriSaraswatidevi are in the Sagunlok of Brahmalok.

2. Unique features

Saraswatilok primarily consists of white light. There are waterfalls and white lotuses everywhere. Shri Saraswatidevi’s palace is in the centre of Saraswatilok. There is a large lake in front of the palace. The lake surrounds the palace on all the sides. There are various types of lotuses in the lake. Shri Saraswatidevi’s room is in the middle of the palace. Her throne is on the right side of the room. Her throne is shaped like a lotus. One can continuously hear the sound of the veena everywhere in the palace. Hearing this sound helps awaken spiritual emotion of gratitude for Shri Saraswatidevi in the mind of the listener. Upon hearing this sound, the mind achieves concentration and a person feels as if he is in a meditative state.

3. The special characteristics of
people going  to Saraswatilok from Sagunlok

A. Those whose subtle-bodies have become pure by more than 60%

If the sukshma-dehas (Subtle-bodies comprising of the mind, intellect and ego) that worship Shri Saraswatidevi, are more than 60% pure, they will get a place in Saraswatilok.

B. Those having a sattvik level above 65%

Only if the devotee’s spiritual level is above 65%, he is able to imbibe the Chaitanya (Divine consciousness) and sattvikta (Sattva-predominance) that is being continuously emitted in the Saraswatilok.

C. Having intense desire for God-realisation and
not having any worldly thoughts or thoughts about Maya (Great Illusion)

Many people are not aware that nirgun God is beyond Saraswatilok. Some may have this knowledge, but they remain engrossed in the beauty and sattvik environment of Saraswatilok. As a result, they do not pay adequate attention to their sadhana and get engrossed in thoughts related to Maya. Due to this, their spiritual progress stagnates. Hence, the devotee should have an intense desire for God-realisation.

D. Having more than 60% curiosity for acquiring knowledge

In the Saraswatilok, Shri Saraswatidevi Herself provides guidance to devotees about knowledge and art. The jiva residing there get this guidance everyday. To be able to imbibe this guidance continuously, the devotee should necessarily have more than 60% curiosity.

E. Practicing as per the knowledge received

It is expected that at least 70% of the knowledge that the devotee receives and the guidance provided by Shri Saraswatidevi personally be put into practice. Shri Saraswatidevi immediately gets rid of those who do not do this (from Her lok) and sends them back to earth.’
