Only when the bravery of women is awakened, women will be empowered

Mumbai – ‘There are various reasons behind the increasing atrocities against women in the country. One of the major reasons for this is the lust and obscenity that is being spread through films. In the year 2021, there were 31,000 incidents of violence against women, meaning, 84 incidents of atrocities took place every day. This is very unfortunate. India has a rich legacy of revolutionary women who were brave and militant. Only when the bravery of our women is awakened can women be empowered in the true sense’, appealed Sanatan Sanstha’s Dharmaprasarak Saint Sadguru (Ms.) Swati Khadye, while emphasising on the prevention of atrocities against women. She said that women should now be able to take self-defence by undergoing training for bravery awakening. She was speaking at an online lecture on ‘Jagar Strishakticha’ (Awakening Women’s Power) organised by Sanatan Sanstha on the occasion of Women’s Day, to create awareness among women with the objective of ‘Empowering Women and Restoring the Superiority of Women in Indian Culture’. This programme was watched by more than 13,000 viewers through Sanatan Sanstha’s ‘YouTube’ channel.

Sadguru (Ms.) Swati Khadye further said, “In the absence of Chhatrapati Shahaji Raje, Rajmata Jijau took over the reins of government and inculcated the sanskars of ‘Hindavi Swarajya’ on Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. If Rajmata Jijau is born in every family, Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj will be born in the family. While giving guidance on Dharmacharan (Abiding by Dharma), She said that putting kumkum on the forehead awakens the Principle of Goddess Durga located in the Anahat-chakra (The fourth centre in the spiritual energy system, located at the mid chest level in the subtle body). The scriptures say that wearing sattvic attire creates a spiritual sheath of protection around women. Take advantage of Principle of Goddess Durga and spiritual power by abiding by Dharma. Be proud of Indian culture and traditions”.

The event received a spontaneous response from the online attendees. Thousands of women commented in the comment box, ‘Lectures are very inspiring’, and ‘Such lectures should be held many times’.

Yours sincerely,
