‘Shri Rajmatangi Mahayajna’ to be held in Mumbai on 17th May for the Protection of Bharat

Mumbai: At a time when dark clouds of a possible Third World War are looming over the world, merely political or intellectual efforts are not sufficient, and the nation is in dire need of strong spiritual support. With this noble objective to provide Bharat with an invincible spiritual protective shield and to usher in the re-establishment of an ideal “Ram Rajya” through the nation’s all-round progress — Sanatan Sanstha has organized the ‘Shri Rajmatangi Mahayajna’ in Mumbai. The Mahayajna ceremony will be conducted in a highly auspicious atmosphere on Sunday, 17 May 2026, from 3:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the Nardulla Tank Ground, located behind Shree Siddhivinayak Temple in Prabhadevi. This information was shared by Mr. Abhay Vartak, spokesperson of Sanatan Sanstha, during a press conference organized at the Mumbai Marathi Patrakar Sangh. Also present on the occasion were Mr. Chetan Rajhans, National Spokesperson of the organization; priest and astrologer Mr. Shreyas Pisolkar; and Mr. Kailas Patil, Navi Mumbai Coordinator of the Maharashtra Mandir Mahasangh. It was emphasized during the conference that this Mahayajna is not merely a religious ritual but a spiritual battle for national protection.

Explaining the spiritual significance of the Yajna, Mr. Abhay Vartak stated that among the “Dashamahavidyas” manifested from the anger of Adishakti Goddess Sati, Goddess Matangi holds a unique and supreme position. Goddess Matangi is regarded as the “Prime Minister” or chief advisor of Adishakti herself. Worship of this deity is considered highly effective for victory over enemies and overcoming adverse situations. Referring to historical and spiritual traditions, he explained that the divine principle of Rajmatangi Devi was also active during the incarnation of Lord Shri Ram in the Treta Yuga, enabling the establishment of the ideal Ram Rajya. The primary objective of this Yajna is to seek similar divine blessings for the protection of India in present times.

Divine relics of the Sorati Somnath Jyotirlinga to be displayed

One of the greatest attractions of this Mahayajna will be the Darshan (sacred viewing) of the divine remnants of the Sorati Somnath Jyotirlinga, which was destroyed nearly 1,000 years ago by the invader Mahmud Ghazni. These sacred relics, bearing testimony to history, will be displayed for devotees, offering them a rare spiritual opportunity, said Mr. Chetan Rajhans. The Yajna will commence with the Mahasankalp, Shri Ganesh invocation, and Punyahavachan rituals, followed by offerings into the sacred fire accompanied by the chanting of the Moolmantra (root mantras) of Shri Rajmatangi Devi. The priestly duties of the Yagna will be performed by Shivagama Vidyanidhi Agamacharya Shri. Arunkumar Gurumurthy from Erode, Tamil Nadu, and Shivacharya Shri. Gurumurthy will be the chief Acharya of the Yagna. informed priest and astrologer Mr. Shreyas Pisolkar. According to Mr. Kailas Patil, trustees and priests from numerous temples across Mumbai, Thane, Raigad, and Palghar districts will participate in the Mahayajna. So far, Sanatan Sanstha has conducted more than 1300 Yajnas and spiritual rituals.

Around 5,000 devotees, including dignitaries from various fields, saints, ministers from the state government, office-bearers of Hindu organizations, intellectuals, lawyers, and entrepreneurs are expected to attend this grand ceremony. The organization expressed confidence that this Mahayajna, being conducted in Mumbai — the very city from where the founder of Sanatan Sanstha, Sachchidananda Parabrahma Dr. Jayant Athavale, initiated his spiritual mission will become a historic step towards nation-building. Mr. Abhay Vartak has appealed to all devotees and dharma-loving Hindus to attend the ceremony with their families.
