Bowel movements for less than 3 times a week, dry and hard stools, difficulty in defecation, pain during defecation, and a sense of incomplete defecation are termed as ‘constipation’. Improper eating habits are the main cause of constipation.
1. Measures to be undertaken to avoid constipation
1 A. If you feel a need to defecate, do not ignore it and defecate immediately.
1 B. As per one’s thirst, one should drink at least 8 – 9 glasses of water every day.
1 C. One should exercise every day as per ones’ capacity.
1 D. Include a lot of vegetables and fruits in the diet.
