Sanatan Sanstha, Hindu Janajagruti Samiti and other devout Hindu organisations help flood victims in Kolhapur, Sangli, and Belgavi and South Kanara in Karnataka

There is no alternative to spiritual practice for protection from the terrible period of crisis, so augment spiritual practice and win the grace of God.

For the past few days Maharashtra and Karnataka has been hit by torrential rains some districts are flooded trapping several and damaging property worth millions. Along with the Government machinery several social, patriotic and Dharma loving organizations have come forward. Among them Sanatan Sanstha and Hindu Jagruti Samiti are playing a major role. They are supplying cooked food, food grain, clothes, drinking water and other essential commodities besides medicines and medical help. In additions they are explaining the importance of spiritual practice and chanting to the flood victims.

Kolhapur – On August 10, 2019 80 flood victims from Navin Ingli housing colony were helped on behalf of Hindu Janajagruti Samiti. Door-to-door distribution of food packets was done by Allopathic physician from Sanatan Sanstha Dr. Mansing Shinde, Mr. Santosh Sangar, Mr. Kiran Duse, Mr. Sagar Hankare and Mr. Prathamesh Gawde all from Hindu Janajagruti Samiti and devout Hindus Mr. Rajaram Mane and Mr. Umesh. Health checkup of 200 flood victims from Ingli village was done and medicines were administered. These victims were also explained the importance of spiritual practice and of chanting the Name of God. Doubts regarding spiritual practice were also cleared.

Mr. Santosh Sangar of Hindu Janajagruti Samiti and yet another associate Mr. Jyotiram Shelke vacated 14 people from the upper floors of a building adjacent to the office of the Collector which was flooded on the ground floor with 5 feet water. Victims expressed their gratitude by saying he had come like God to help them.

Sangli – Health checkup of flood victims was held by the Health Care Committee of Hindu Janajagruti Samiti on Aug 10, 2019 at Savarkar Pratishthan in Vishrambag and also at the 100 ft road and medicines were administered by allopathic physician Dr. (Mrs.) Mrunalini Bhosale. Mr. Girish Pujari, Mr. Santosh Dessai, Mr. Akshay Thorat of Hindu Janajagruti Samiti and Mrs. Kalpana Thorat of Sanatan Sanstha participated in this program.
