Donate for the mission of the Guru, meaning, for mission unto Dharma on the occasion of Gurupournima

Gurupournima is the day to express gratitude to the Guru is unforgettable for a disciple. On this day, the blessings of the Guru and the knowledge beyond words emitting from Him is a thousand times more than usual. Therefore, seekers and disciples who perform Guruseva (Service unto Absolute Truth) and sacrifice wealth benefit from the Guru Principle a thousand times more.

1. Importance of the Guru in the disciple’s life

Guru is the sagun (Materialised) form of nirgun (Non-materialised) God active on earth. The Guru continuously strives hard for the spiritual progress of His disciple by bestowing knowledge on him. Therefore, the disciple has no alternative to his Guru. For a disciple, true Guru-dakshina (Offering in cash or kind unto the Guru) would be to serve the Guru by offering everything to Him. As a result, Gurukrupa (Guru’s grace) will flow continuously towards the disciple.

2. On the Gurupournima day, donate for
the mission of the Guru, meaning, the mission of Dharma

On the Gurupournima day, everyone has the opportunity to offer gratitude unto the Guru by making maximum sacrifice of the body, mind and wealth. Therefore, spiritually curious people and well-wishers should obtain the benefit of Gurupournima at the spiritual level by participating in the mission of propagating Dharma and donating money for this purpose.

In the present times, when Dharma is facing lethargy, participating in the mission of propagating Dharma is the supreme donation. Donating money for this mission, which is being performed by Saints, institutions and organisations, is essential as per the times. Sanatan Sanstha has been carrying out this mission selflessly for the last many years. Any donation to Sanatan Sanstha will certainly be used for the mission of serving Dharma.

Those desirous of donating money on the occasion of Guru-pournima may please contact

Mrs. Bhagyashri Sawant on telephone no. 7058885610 or E-mail address sanatan.sanstha2025 @gmail.com

    • Namaste Maria,

A warm welcome to Sanatan.org. We are glad to know that you are interested in Spirituality and already following some form of spiritual practice.

Sanatan follows Gurukrupayog (the Path of Guru’s Grace). It is an eight-fold spiritual path which can be followed by anyone, from a novice in spirituality to someone already on a spiritual path. We recommend that you go through our introductory material on the following link – https://www.sanatan.org/en/spiritual-journey and then follow it up with an introduction to Gurukrupayog – https://www.sanatan.org/en/gurukrupayog

      Warm regards,
      Sanatan Sanstha
