Tender an unconditional apology or face legal action! – Sanatan Sanstha’s warning to Prithviraj Chavan

The verdict in the Malegaon bomb blast case was recently announced. Following this, the mask of the Congress-led conspiracy of so-called ‘Saffron Terrorism’ was torn apart. In an attempt to cover up, Congress’s former Chief Minister Prithviraj Chavan suggested not using the term ‘Saffron Terrorism’, but rather ‘Sanatani Terrorism’, thereby again targeting Sanatan Dharma. Clarifying his statement later, he said that he referred not to the religion, but to Sanatan Sanstha as a “terrorist organization”. This statement is false, baseless, and misleading. On this issue, a defamation notice of ₹10 crore has been sent to him on behalf of Sanatan Sanstha trustee Mr. Virendra Marathe. Furthermore, Sanatan Sanstha’s spokesperson Mr. Abhay Vartak has warned that unless Mr. Chavan tenders an unconditional apology, he should be prepared for legal proceedings.

Mr. Abhay Vartak

The notice demands that Mr. Prithviraj Chavan issue a written apology within 15 days, publish it with equal prominence as the original interview, refrain from making any defamatory statements in the future, and pay ₹10,000 towards legal costs. Honorary legal advisor to the Sanstha and Bombay High Court advocate Mr. Ramdas Kesarkar has stated in the notice that Mr. Chavan’s comments have tarnished the image of Sanatan Sanstha and hurt the sentiments of thousands of its seekers. If the notice goes unanswered, criminal and civil cases will be filed against Mr. Chavan.

Providing further details, Abhay Vartak said, “Today Mr. Prithviraj Chavan is saying that the ‘saffron’ flag symbolizes Maharashtra’s Marathi culture, Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, and all saints from Dnyaneshwar to the Warkari tradition, and therefore no one should label it as ‘Saffron Terrorism’. However, when the Malegaon case surfaced, Congress leaders like P. Chidambaram, Digvijay Singh, and Sushilkumar Shinde freely used the term ‘Saffron Terrorism’ to target Hindus. Did Mr. Chavan not realize then that the saffron flag represents Chhatrapati Shivaji and the saints? Was he asleep all these years?”

Yours sincerely,
Mr Abhay Vartak
Spokesperson, Sanatan Sanstha
