Sanatan Rashtra’s Shankhnad Mahotsav to begin on 17 th May in Goa

Ponda (Goa) – ‘Just as the victorious Shankhnad of Shriram echoed from Ayodhya to all directions, the Divine Shankhnad (clarion call) of the Sanatan Rashtra will resonate across the sacred land of Gomantak (Goa) — sanctified by the footsteps of Bhagwan Parshuram — on the occasion of Sachchidananda Parabrahman (Dr) Jayant Athavale’s 83rd birth anniversary and the silver jubilee year of Sanatan Sanstha. A grand event ‘Sanatan Rashtra Shankhnad Mahotsav’ will be organised by the Sanatan Sanstha at the grounds of the Government Engineering College, Farmagudi (Ponda, Goa), from May 17 to 19, 2025. The event will be attended by devotees, Saints, Mahants (religious leaders), and chief ministers from several Indian states, along with over 25,000 seekers and devout Hindus from India and 23 other countries. This Shankhnad Mahotsav represents a significant step toward the realisation of Ram Rajya (righteous governance based on Dharma). Over 5,000 seekers, devout Hindus, and dignitaries from Goa alone are expected to attend’, Sanatan Sanstha’s spokesperson Mr Abhay Vartak said during a press conference.

Former IAS officer Mr Arun Desai, Former Goa Election Commissioner Mr Narayan Navti, Chief priest of Shri Shantadurga Temple (Kavale) Mr Pranav Sadhale, Entrepreneur Mr Jayant Miringkar, Follower of Jagadguru Ramanandacharya Shri Swami Narendracharya Maharaj, Mr Anil Naik, and Goa State coordinator of Hindu Janajagruti Samiti, Mr Satyavijay Naik. They all shared insights about the upcoming Shankhnad Mahotsav.

Information shared during the Press Conference regarding the Shankhnad Mahotsav :

1. Former Election Commissioner of Goa, Mr Narayan Navti, announced that the devout Hindu warriors who have dedicated themselves to the service of Sanatan Dharma will be honoured with the ‘Hindu Rashtra Ratna’ Lifetime Achievement Award, and ‘Sanatan Dharmashri’ Awards will be presented to defenders of the Dharma who are fighting for Dharma. These honours will be bestowed by revered Saints.

2. Mr Arun Desai, former Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer, shared that a display of ancient and rare weapons from the era of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj will be set up over an area of 6,000 square feet. This exhibition will also include ancient weapons from the Sondekar family of Goa. Additionally, there will be performances showcasing various traditional folk arts of Gomantak (Goa).

3. Entrepreneur Mr Jayant Miringkar said that during the Mahotsav, attendees will have the rare opportunity to witness a representation of the ancient Sorathi Somnath Jyotirlinga, dating back a thousand years, as well as have darshan of the sacred padukas of various Saints. MrSatyavijay Naik, State Coordinator of the Hindu Janajagruti Samiti, said that on 19th May, a Maha Dhanvantari Yajna will be performed, followed by a Shatachandi Yajna from 20th to 22nd May. He also informed that invitations have been extended to several prominent figures for this Mahotsav, including : Padma Shri Sadguru Brahmeshanand Acharya Swami, Peethadhishwar of ShrikshetraTapobhoomi (Kundai, Goa), Governor of Goa, Mr P. S. Sreedharan Pillai, Governor of Kerala, Mr Rajendra Arlekar, Union Minister of State for Power, Mr Shripad Naik, Chief Minister of Goa, Dr Pramod Sawant, Goa’s Power Minister, Mr Sudin Dhavalikar. Additionally, all public representatives from Goa, along with heads of nationalist and devout Hindu organisations, have also been invited to participate in the Mahotsav.

Yogi Adityanath, Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Hon. Devendra Fadnavis, Chief Minister of Maharashtra, Hon. Eknath Shinde, Deputy Chief Minister of Maharashtra, Hon. Vishnu Deo Sai, Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh, Hon. Vijay Sharma, Deputy Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh, T.
