
Kolhapur – On July 29, 2020 an online meeting was held for the Ganeshotsav Mandal from Kolhapur to explain the spiritual science underlying ritualistic worship of Shri Ganesh and how to celebrate Ganesh Chaturthi in this time of crisis. Mr. Amol Kulkarni of Sanatan Sanstha welcomed the participants and explained the objectives of the meeting in which 40 volunteers from different mandals participated.
Mr. Kiran Duse of Hindu Janjagruti Samiti guided on the spiritual significance underlying the worship of Shri Ganesh and how to celebrate the festival ideally. Mrs. Rajashree Tiwari provided information on how to celebrate Ganesh Chaturthi in the calamitous times. She stated that during the Corona pandemic to be able to worship with devotion the idol should be small and that the worship should be done with whatever substances are available.
The prasad offered should be homemade and can be dry prasad. Due to the lockdown only if the idol is small then it will become possible to observe all Government norms during worship and immersion of the idols.
