The social system remains in good condition only with the fear of punishment (law) – Chetan Rajhans, National Spokesperson, Sanatan Sanstha

Debate on ‘Control of Population’ on the first day of the Dnyanam Mahotsav

Eminent personalities participate in the debate on ‘Control of Population’

Jaipur (Rajasthan) – The advertisement ‘Hum do, Hamare do (a couple should have only two children)’ by the Government is being telecast on television for several decades. A decent society follows this after being educated but the society interested in hatching conspiracies certainly cannot be educated through Government advertisements, it requires legal intervention. That is precisely why the Scriptures (Dharmashastra) state that ‘Fear of punishment is what maintains society in a good state’. This is what Sanatan Sanstha Spokesperson Mr. Chetan Rajhans said on the first day of the Dnyanam Mahotsav when speaking during a debate on ‘Population Control – through education or law ?’. Others who participated in this debate were Mr. Anil Chaudhari, Chairman of ‘Janasakhya Samadhan Foundation’, Dr. Devendra Kothari an expert in ‘Population and Development’ and Mrs. Mamta Sehgal, a Kashmiri Hindu refugee. Organiser of Nimittaken Sanstha Mr. Jai Ahuja conducted this debate.

In this debate Mr. Chetan Rajhans said,

1. Since Bharat has 124 million Aadhar card holders that is the number of citizens it should have. However 20% citizens especially children do no possess Aadhar Cards. 5 to 7 million Bangladesh and Rohingyas are illegal residents of Bharat. If all records are checked then the population of the country is not 130 but 150 million, in fact even more than China. In China 11 babies are born in a minute while in Bharat it is 33 per minute. So in the next 2 years we shall supersede China in population growth.

2. Bharat’s economy can nurture a population of approximately 40 million. Today  due to population explosion Bharat has to import food and natural products. Also unemployment, insecurity, poverty, starvation etc are growing problems.

3. As per census of 2011 annual population growth of Hindus is 1.55% while that of Muslims is 1.8%. That is why in the census report of 2016 it is predicted that in 2061, forty years from now the Muslims will be in majority. Since we are supporters of a Hindu nation to retain the identity of this nation as Hindu we are demanding a law for population control.
