Commencement of the First Mental Health Convention

Mumbai – Struggles start for children as soon as they enter school. Then different teachings, peer pressure, parental conflicts, divorce of parents etc all have an impact on the mind of the child. To be able to face that children have to be mentally strong. Hence it was discussed at the Mental Health Convention that mental health should be a part of the curriculum in school education. Parents, teachers and psychiatrists participated in ‘Be the change’ at the First Mental Health Convention organised by ‘Aditya Birla Education Trust’. According to the Headmistress of the institution Ms. Radhika Sinha, emotional development of children is more important than their intellectual development.
