Grand vehicle procession in Goa on the occasion of the Shankhnad Mahotsav; spontaneous participation of thousands of devotees from across the Nation !

The vehicle procession in Ponda, Goa on the occasion of the Sanatan Rashtra Shankhnad Mahotsav commenced with the ritualistic worship of the Dharma Dhwaj.

Ponda (Goa) – A historic and grand vehicle procession was held today to raise awareness about the Sanatan Rashtra Shankhnad Mahotsav being held from tomorrow at the Engineering College ground in Farmagudi, Ponda, Goa. One part of the procession began from the Sanatan Ashram in Ponda and proceeded till Farmagudi. Simultaneously, hundreds of vehicles carrying seekers from all corners of the Nation entered Goa through border points such as Patradevi and Canacona to become part of this well-organised procession. Orange flags fluttering on two-wheelers, four-wheelers, and buses, and slogans like ‘Har Mahadev!’, ‘Sanatan Dharmacha Vijay Aso !’, and ‘Jayatu Hindu Rashtram !’ echoed through the air, turning all of Goa saffron! These resounding slogans charged not only the streets but also the hearts of the people. A single fervour swept across the land – ‘The Shankhnad of the Sanatan Rashtra!’ This procession is a decisive step towards the establishment of a ‘Hindu Rashtra’ and the revival of Sanatan culture.

Seekers of Sanatan Sanstha, Dharma-abiding Hindus, and representatives of devout Hindu organisations participated in the vehicle procession held in Ponda, Goa

The vehicle procession was inaugurated near the Sanatan Ashram in Ponda with the ritualistic worship of the Dharma Dhwaj by former Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer Mr Arun Desai. The procession then passed through Kavale-Tisk Ponda, Shantinagar Junction, Goa Bagayatdar, Ponda Post Office, the old Ponda bus stand, Shree Hanuman Temple, and concluded near the fort at Farmagudi. At many places along the route, married ladies welcomed the procession with Arati to the Dharma Dhwaj and colourful rangolis on the road. Several organisations also participated in this event.

At the start of the procession, Sanatan Sanstha’s Spokesperson Abhay Vartak said,
‘Just as lakhs of warkaris march to Pandharpur during the Ashadhi Ekadashi pilgrimage out of yearning for the Deity Vitthal’s darshan, in the same way, on the occasion of the 83rd Birth Anniversary of Sachchidananda Parabrahman (Dr) Jayant Balaji Athavale — the Founder of Sanatan Sanstha, Who is carrying out the worldwide mission for the cause of Sanatan Dharma, thousands of seekers and Dharma-loving Hindus from across the country and abroad entered the Pandharpur of Goa today by various routes. This is not merely a vehicle procession — it is a Divine pilgrimage of bhakti unto Shrigurudev (Sachchidananda Parabrahman (Dr) Athavale). According to journalists, Police and others, this is the largest festival Goa has ever witnessed.’
