Why did Sanjay Kumar, the police officer who gave information about Sameer Gaikwad’s arrest, remain silent about the Tuljabhavani temple scam? – Sanatan Sanstha

On 20th September 2017, Additional Director General of Police Sanjay Kumar had submitted an inquiry report into the multi-crore scam in Shri Tuljabhavani Mandir Sansthan, to the Home Department, which is related to the faith of millions of Hindu devotees; However, the public was not informed about this sensitive issue.

On the other hand, when Sameer Gaikwad, an accused in the Pansare murder case of Kolhapur, was arrested, at that time police officer Sanjay Kumar had come to Kolhapur from Pune to give information about it. He held a press conference in Kolhapur and informed the media about it. In this he tried to preserve the sentiments of the socialists. If such an effort had been made regarding the scam in Shri Tuljapur Devasthan, there would have been a huge public awareness in Maharashtra five years ago and strict action would have been taken against the culprits.
