New Delhi – Now a days people indulge in ‘online’ shopping to a great extent. It has grown so much that it has become an addiction for some. As researched by Hanover Medical School, Germany online shopping is a kind of mental disorder.

People are receiving treatment to overcome it. Researchers studied 122 such individuals out of which 34 had addiction for online shopping more than other addictions because of which symptoms of agitation and depression were also found in them. In a research paper published in the journal ‘Comprehensive Psychiatry’, in developed countries 5% population is affected by the Buying Shopping Disorder (BSD). One out of every 20 people in the world is affected by this, one out of every three people are used to online shopping. One affected by BSD has intense craving for online shopping and shops beyond his capacity because of which he develops problems shortage of money and conflicts within the family.
