Rangoli contest organised by Arunachalpuram Kalyan Sanghatana at Chennai to commemorate the festival of Pongal

Hindu Janajagruti Samiti based on Sanatan’s Holy text on rangoli

Chennai – A rangoli contest was held here to commemorate the festival of Pongal, on behalf of Arunachalpuram Kalyan Sanghatana. Mrs. Kalpana Balaji of Hindu Janajagruti Samiti judged the entries for the contest based on Sanatan’s Holy text on the spiritual science underlying rangolis. Out of thirty rangolis the five best ones were selected, Inspector General of Police for the state of Tamilnadu Tiruperundurai Murugan was the chief guest who gave away the prizes. Mrs. Kalpani Balaji and Mr. K. Balaji were guests of honour. Mrs. Balaji explained the importance of chanting and drawing sattvik rangoli. Contestants were gifted Holy texts on rangolis. An exhibition of Sanatan Holy texts was put up. Some spiritual aspirants asked for information on Sanatan Sanstha.
