The movie ‘Kedarnath’ dishonouring the Hindu place of pilgrimage Kedarnath must be banned !

Hindus unite to make demands
at the Rashtriya Hindu Andolan in Belgavi

Mr. Bharmani Patil of the Gorakshan Samiti expressing his views at the Rashtriya Hindu Andolan in Belgavi

Belgavi – The name, posters, trailers and teasers of the movie ‘Kedarnath’ due for release suggest that this movie is anti-Hindu. In this movie it has been depicted that the floods which occurred in 2013 were a result of opposition to a so-called love affair. A poster for the movie says ‘Love is a pilgrimage’, the tag line is striking the very purpose of Hindu places of pilgrimage. Hence screening of this movie should not be allowed rather it should be banned. Demanding for this on November 28, 2018 at the Dharmaveer Chatrapati Sambhaji Chowk at Belgavi, a Rashtriya Hindu Andolan was organised. After the agitation the local district collector Mr. Buddheppa was served a memorandum. Allopathic physician Dr. Anjesh Kanaglekar of Hindu Janajagruti Samiti, Mr. Vinodanand Maharaj of Yoga Vedant Seva Samiti, Mr. Bharmani Patil of Gorakshan Samiti, Mr. Shridhar Bhute of ISKCON expressed their views. Devout Hindus namely Mr. Sadanand Masekar, Mr. Dashrath Palekar, Mr. Shripad Deshpande, Mr. Suresh Mali, Mr. Shubham Aptekar, Mrs. Milan Pawar, Mr. Ganeshbhai of Yoga Vedanta Seva Samiti along with volunteers of Hindu Janajagruti Samiti and Sanatan Sanstha seekers were present there.

Highlights

Mr. Shridhar Bhute of ISKCON participated in the agitation after watching it and also requested enthusiastically that he be always invited to such programmes.

If they really wanted to make a movie they could make one on our jawans but the truth is that they wanted to promote the campaign of ‘Love jihad’.

Demands made during the agitation

1. Before sentiments of the public are evoked the Censor Board should ban the movie ‘Kedarnath’.

2. The movie should not be certified by the Censor board till a delegation of Hindu organisations or religious leaders sees the version of the film with all controversial incidents deleted.

3. To prevent misuse of Hindu temples, places of worship, Holy texts and Deities, the Censor Board should frame a set of rules.

4. The tag line of the movie ‘Love is a pilgrimage’ should be changed.
