Satara – At different venues in the district, on behalf of Hindu Janajagruti Samiti and other Hindu activist organisations the new year was welcomed by hoisting the gudhi, in a group. After raising the gudhi in a traditional way a pledge was taken to establish a Hindu nation. Slogans for inspiration to form a Hindu nation and targets for forming it were raised.
On behalf of all Hindu activist organisations at Shivatirtha, Powai naka a gudhi was raised in public along with a pledge to establish a Hindu nation. There were 35 volunteers in all including H.H, Kumbhar Maharaj, Advocate Govind Gandhi of Hindu Mahasabha, Advocate Khanvilkar, Mr. Deepak Kesarkar of Yoga Vedant Seva Samiti, Shivasainik Mr. Jitendra Sawant, Mr. Arjun Devkule of Art of Living, Mr. Hemant Khatawkar of Shri Shivapratishthan Hindusthan, Mr. Amol Khopde of Dharmaveer Yuva Manch, Mr. Jitendra Wadekar of Vishwa Hindu Parishad and Mr. Hemant Sonawane and Mr. Sunil Londhe of Hindu Janajagruti Samiti.
Group hoisting of a gudhi was done by the Shri Shivapratishthan, Hindusthan and Hindu Janajagruti Samiti at the Shrirama temple along with an oath to establish a ‘Hindu nation’. A local Hindu activist Mr. Sudhir Salunkhe performed ritualistic worship of the gudhi. Mr. Sumit Sagvekar of the Samiti guided on ‘Gudhipadwa and the greatness of the Hindu Dharma’. More than 40 young devout Hindu men and women attended this programme.

Public hoisting of a gudhi was done by 14 Maula organisations and Shri Shivapratishthan Hindusthan in the main square opposite the Shri Bhairavnath temple amidst shouting of inspirational and target oriented slogans for a Hindu nation. 22 Dharkaris were present.
Here on behalf of Hindu Janajagruti Samiti at the square near the bus stand ritualistic worship of the gudhi was done by H.H. Dada Maharaj of the Datta sect. Mr. Ramesh Godse, Mr. Shubham Thigle, Mr. Vinayak Thigle , Mrs. Jyoti Kumbhar etc. were present on the occasion.
At the gudhi hoisting done at the Datta Chowk here were present Co-ordinator for Western Maharashtra Hindu Ekta Andolan Mr. Vinayak Pawaskar, Founder President Mr. Chandrakant Jirge, District President Mr. Vikram Pawaskar, Mr. Madan Sawant of Hindu Janajagruti Samiti and Mr. Lakshman Pawar of Sanatan Sanstha along with other devout Hindus. In the procession held by the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh here that evening to celebrate New Year, volunteers of Hindu Janajagruti Samiti also participated.
The locals hoisted a gudhi near the temple of Shri Bhairavnath. Mr. Balkrushna Nikam a seeker with a spiritual level of 64 % performed ritualistic worship of the gudhi in the presence of villagers.
