Memorandum served by Hindu Janajagruti Samiti in the Sawantwadi District
Why do we need to place this demand to the Administration every year? Chinese firecrackers are extremely pollutant and have to be banned. Why does the Administration not realize this ? – Editor, HJS
Sindhudurg : During the festival of Deepawali highly pollutant Chinese firecrackers are sold illegally, which has to be stopped. Pictures of Deities and patriots are printed on the covering of the firecrackers. This results in denigration of Deities and dishonour of patriots, hurting of religious sentiments of the millions of Hindus and also a blow to the national image. Hence the Government should stop production and sale of such firecrackers. This demand was placed by Hindu Janajagruti Samiti through a memorandum served on the District Police, Government Officers and elected representatives.
Malwan : Tehsildar from Malwan, Mr. Samir Ghare, Police Inspector Mr. Arvind Bodke, the Municipal Corporators Mr. Mandar Keni, Mr. Deepak Patkar and Mr. Jagdish Gaonkar were presented the memorandum. The Hindus activists present on the occasion were Mr. Shivaji Desai, Mr. Madhusudhan Sarang, Mr. Ratnakar Kolambkar, Mr. Shirish Naik, Mr. Prakash Kadam and Mr. Lakshman Kurle.
Kankavli : The Dy. Divisional Police Officer of Kankavli, Mrs. Padmaja Chavan and Tehsildar Mrs. Vaishali Mane were served a memorandum. Hindu activists Mr. Nandu Arolkar, Patankar Guruji, Mr. Digambar Patil, Mr. Sachin Tejsingh, Mr. Shridhar Musale of Hindu Janajagruti Samiti and Mr. Jaiwant Samant of Sanatan Sanstha were present.
Sawantwadi : A memorandum was served to Tehsildar of Sawantwadi, Mr. Satish Kadam and the Assistant Police Inspector Mr. Arun Jadhav. At that time Mr. Sitaram Mhapankar, reader of the Dainik Sanatan Prabhat Mr. Sharad Parab, Mr. Chandrakant Bile of Hindu Janajagruti Samiti, ex-Headmaster Mr. Ankush Gawas, Mr. Shankar Nikam of Sanatan Sanstha and a pro-Hindu Advocate Mr. Vaibhav Chavan were present.
Devgad : Deputy Tehsildar Mr. Govind Sawant, Police Sub-Inspector Mr. Govind Warang were issued memoranda. At that time Mr. Anand Mondkar of Hindu Janajagruti Samiti and Mr. Aniruddh Dahibawkar, Mr. Vijay Pawar, Mr. Ashok Karangutkar and Mrs. Sheetal Patil of Sanatan Sanstha were present.
Kudal : Tehsildar of Kudal, Mr. Ajay M. Gholve and Police inspector Mr. Avinash Bhosale were issued memoranda by Hindu activists Dr. Kiran Hirje, Dr. Sanjay Samant, Vaidya Suvinay Damle, Mr. Pappu Gawde, Mr. Parshuram Vengurlekar, Mr. Nitin Sadvelkar, Mr. Abhijit Hadkar and Hindu Janajagruti Samiti volunteers Mr. Anand Naik, Mr. Santosh Gawde, Mr. Sanjay Gawde, Mr. Vasudev Tendolkar and Mrs. Nilima Samant.
