These paths include paths such as the Path of Devotion, the Path of Action, the Path of Knowledge and the Path of Meditation. However all paths finally culminate in the requirement of grace where a highly spiritually evolved guide such as a Guru needs to take us on the final way to attain God.

Following the path of the Guru’s grace is the fastest way to grow spiritually compared to any other path. The table below gives the spiritual level % at which the Guru bestows His grace and the duration required for it, if one practices spirituality according to the main paths of yoga with one’s intellect. By following the Path of the Guru’s grace, one can attain grace of a Guru in minimum five years as compared to other paths which can take up to 25 years.

Just like someone who has climbed to the top of a mountain and sees more than the one standing at the foot of the mountain, the Guru sees far more than the seeker who has just commenced his spiritual practice and guides him accordingly.
To be blessed by a Guru and to acquire His grace one needs to persevere in practicing spirituality on a daily basis. Refer to article ‘Steps in Spiritual practice’ for more information on spiritual practices according to the Path of the Guru’s grace.
