Messages to Seekers

Messages for the week ending Decvember 17, 2005

Do ‘satseva’ to awaken divine consciousness (chaitanya) in yourself

It has been observed in many districts that seekers are inspired to do satseva after a visit from a guiding-seeker. As the ‘chaitanya’ is awakened/active in such guiding-seekers, they are constantly able to do seva with greater zeal. Every seeker must do more satseva to generate ‘chaitanya’ in himself. Once the ‘chaitanya’ is awakened, there will not be apathy in doing seva and they will not have to rely on others for their spiritual practice.

In case of severe trouble, join all five fingers
and do ‘nyasa’ at the back of your head while chanting*

The ‘Chandra’, ‘Surya’ and ‘Sushumna’ channels of the kundalini system join in the back portion of the head. In this place, mantriks make a location (‘sthan’) for themselves and store black energy. As a result, the flow of energy coming through these three channels becomes irregular/unbalanced and one suffers various physical and mental problems. Sometimes a seeker can even fall unconscious. To remove these problems, seekers should join all five fingers and hold them at the back of their head (in nyasa) while chanting. Fingers of the other hand may be joined and held in front of middle of the eyebrows, chest or navel as per the need.

Have food with more iron content

In some of the districts, when a blood test was carried out, in the case of Sanatan organization seekers, it was observed that the level of hemoglobin was less than the normal requirement. There is a connection between the level of hemoglobin in our blood and our capacity to work. Lesser is the level of hemoglobin, lesser is the capacity to work; for example, if the hemoglobin level is 80 %, the working capacity is also 80 %. Owing to the deficiency of hemoglobin, symptoms like cramps in the hands and legs, paining of the waist, tiredness, swelling in the hands/feet etc. are observed. Therefore, increase intake of food that contains more iron like spinach, black jaggery, beet-root, apples, raagi, bitter gourd, sprouted grains, dates, etc.

Note: Besides the above, all seekers should take a tablet for removing worms once in three months.

*If one is not currently doing any spiritual practice, or to complement one's current spiritual practice, one can begin with the simple, but powerful spiritual practice of chanting or constantly remembering God's Name according to one's religion. Chanting also acts as a useful complement to any spiritual path one may be already following. It is a practice recommended for the current times by Holy texts and Saints of all religions.

  • To begin with, one can repeat God's Name according to their religion (refer to Issue 3 Clarification of Doubts section for a list of God's Names as per various religions), or the Name that they feel most comfortable chanting.

  • Interested readers can determine the exact chant for them from the experiment given inIssue 124, Message to Seekers section.
