Messages to Seekers

Messages for the week ending November 19, 2005

Seekers, do not waste your time watching TV programs

Most of the programs shown on TV emit raja-tama and black frequencies. As a result, the ‘sattvikata’ of the person watching TV and also that which is present in the house reduces and there is an increase of raja-tama. Due to the spread of black energy, the mind of the person and atmosphere in the house gets polluted/ impure and there is a likelihood of facing distressing energy problems. The effects of watching TV are creating bad sanskars (impressions) in the mind and an increase in personality defects and worldly feelings (bhavana), besides wasting time. The ‘sattvikata’ acquired and generation of spiritual emotion (‘bhava’) by chanting* reduces due to watching TV and the seeker comes down to the level of ‘bhavana’. In spirituality, as ‘bhava’ is more important than ‘bhavana’, watching TV programs is highly detrimental for a seeker from the point of view of his spiritual practice. Therefore, seekers watching TV should watch only essential programs related to news, giving information about festivals, religious festivals and other ‘sattvik’ programs. As the present period is the period of crisis, seekers should utilize their valuable time in increasing spiritual practice rather than watching TV and participate in the activities related to the nation (building/security) and righteousness.

Seekers must avoid eating outside food

Seekers should, as far as possible, avoid eating outside food. The embodied souls (people) who prepare such food are full of raja-tama. Therefore, when food items prepared by such souls are eaten, the distressing energies form a place in the ‘vasana-kosh (sheath of passion)’ of seeker. As a result, seeker can suffer from cancer, hemoglobin deficiency, have continuous fever and weakness.

Instructions about salt water remedy

1. Keep feet in salt water before chanting and circumambulating Ganapati idol

It takes time to spread ‘sattvikata’ in the body while chanting or circumambulating and also to break up distressing energies (DE). When a seeker keeps his feet in salt water, the break up of DE is fast and the DE quickly start going out of the seeker’s body. Therefore, when salt-water remedy is performed before chanting or circumambulating the Ganapati idol, the DE immediately comes out of the gross and subtle body of a seeker, and the benefit of the ‘sattvik’ and divine consciousness (chaitanya) frequencies emitted from the deities is more. As the ‘sattvik’ and chaitanya frequencies (lahari) reach the place made in the body by DE, the spiritual problems faced by the seeker are reduced soon. Many seekers have had such spiritual experiences. Hence, seekers should perform the remedy of keeping their feet in salt water before chanting and circumambulating the Ganapati idol.

2. When distress at physical and mental/psychological level increase, immediately do the remedy of keeping feet in salt water

The basic cause of the distress undergone by seekers at physical and psychological levels is distressing energies. By performing the salt water remedy, seekers have had spiritual experiences of getting rid of leg pain and headache, decrease in negative and unnecessary thoughts generated in seekers’ mind. Therefore, whenever there is an increase in physical or psychological distress, seekers should immediately perform salt water remedy.

3. Perform salt water remedy before going to bed

Many seekers are getting spiritual experiences like getting sound sleep, getting up early as sleep is complete / sufficient, lessening of distress at physical, mental level or reduction in DE troubles when they perform the salt water remedy before going to bed. Therefore, perform this remedy before going to bed.

As per the need of the time, make efforts towards
increasing fighting spirit rather than awakening spiritual emotion

So far seekers were advised to focus on awakening of spiritual emotion (‘bhava’) towards God for making progress in spiritual practice. As per the times, however, it is required of seekers to increase fighting spirit ( ‘kshatra-vrutti’) in them to achieve rapid spiritual progress. Study the holy book published by the Sanatan organization titled ‘Kshatradharma Sadhana’ (The Spiritual Practice of Protecting Seekers and Destroying Evildoers). The time is approaching for practising ‘Kshatradharma Sadhana’. It is necessary to increase ‘kshatra-vrutti’ that would last/remain active till the year 2012.

*If one is not currently doing any spiritual practice, or to complement one's current spiritual practice, one can begin with the simple, but powerful spiritual practice of chanting or constantly remembering God's Name according to one's religion. Chanting also acts as a useful complement to any spiritual path one may be already following. It is a practice recommended for the current times by Holy texts and Saints of all religions.

  • To begin with, one can repeat God's Name according to their religion (refer to Issue 3 Clarification of Doubts section for a list of God's Names as per various religions), or the Name that they feel most comfortable chanting.

  • Interested readers can determine the exact chant for them from the experiment given inIssue 124, Message to Seekers section.
