Messages to Seekers

Messages for the week ending September 18, 2005

Seekers should not have such an incorrect perspective!

    The spiritually pure (‘sattvik’) idols are prepared on behalf of the Sanatan organization according to the science of sculpture. The level of divine consciousness (chaitanya) in such idols has reached its ultimate point (28.3%). These idols are being sent to various parts of India so that more and more people can benefit from the spiritual purity (‘sattvikta’) of the idols. Many seekers have spiritual experiences while viewing these idols or during circumambulation, like reduction in their distressing energy troubles, going into meditation, starting to chant*, feeling peaceful etc. These idols are kept on exhibit during the Ganesh-festival for viewing. These idols have been made out of Plaster of Paris (POP) to make them stronger as they have to be carried from one place to another. Therefore, these idols will be long-lasting and more people can benefit from the ‘sattvikta’ emitted through such idols. Since these idols are neither going to be worshipped nor immersed in water, there is no threat of creating pollution.

    The above point was explained in some of the ashram meetings held in Goa (India), but still some seekers raised a doubt as to why they should circumambulate around the idols made of POP. In reality, by obtaining the above information, seekers should have been curious to try and get spiritual experiences themselves through circumambulation of the idol. Rather than feeling gratitude for getting the benefit of the ‘chaitanya’ from such idols, seekers are raising doubts. They should think whether such behaviour is called for in this case.

    An idol, when made of clay, stone, copper, silver and gold, gets the principle of that deity, in ascending order. Since spiritual emotion (bhava) is more important than the type of metal, the idol made with spiritual emotion attracts the maximum amount of the principle of that deity. The spiritual emotion with which our sculptor-seeker Shri Gurudas Khandeparkar has sculpted the Ganesh-idols, is the reason for the presence of the Ganesh-principle in these idols. Many saints have also commended these idols. Rather than getting stuck at the intellectual level, only seekers with immense faith in the activities of the Sanatan organization will progress spiritually.

Seekers must make use of every opportunity that comes their way towards spiritual practice, as is done by Mr. and Mrs. Musale from Sindhu-durga district (India)

    The Shri Satyanarayan Mahapuja was to be performed at the residence of Shri Shridhar Musale from Kankavali in Sindhu-durga district. Realizing the importance of collective (samashti) spiritual practice, which is 70% in Kaliyuga (era of strife), Shri Musale and Mrs. Sushama Musale spent the day of the puja explaining to puja attendees about chanting, spiritual practice, activities of the Sanatan organization, its periodicals etc. and assigned the duty of serving the holy sacrament (prasad) and food, looking after the guests, etc. to their relatives. They also explained about the ‘Mahapur (Flood) special issue’ and distributed 70 copies of this special issue. They experienced Bliss while doing the seva. Out of the 70 people to whom the special issues were distributed, 18 people became subscribers of The Weekly issue.

    We should also try to use every opportunity that comes our way to perform spiritual practice like Mr. and Mrs. Musale, and make the best use of the opportunity of being born as human beings, to make spiritual progress.

Along with giving auto-suggestions for personality defect removal,
it is necessary to increase our efforts at the action level

    Some seekers are regular in following the process of personality defects (PDs) removal. Under this, they do four auto-suggestion sessions, as opposed to the prescribed five sessions. However, these sessions do not follow with actions. As there is no action, there is no effect from doing auto-suggestion sessions. Seekers therefore feel that since they are doing four sessions instead of five, there is no desired effect and they should stop doing these sessions. Seekers should have the following perspective:
To give auto-suggestions means to remind ourselves of the remedies required for removal of PDs. Here, if there is no corresponding change at the action level, the PDs will not be removed. We should not feel that since fewer sessions were done for the removal of PDs, there was no desired effect; but should realize that we are lagging behind at the action level, and as a result there is no change in PDs, and so try to increase our efforts at the action level.

Seekers must not reduce their efforts towards personality
defect (PD) removal because the PDs keep on surfacing

    At a time, seekers select two to three PDs to work on removing. Seekers stop giving auto-suggestions for removal of a particular PD once they achieve 60-70 % change and select another PD for removal. After a few days, the previous PDs resurface, creating doubts in seekers’ minds that despite making efforts for removal of PDs, the PDs are still coming back/resurfacing. In such cases, seekers should have the following perspective:

    The PDs have been present in us for the past many births. We do not follow the process of removal of a particular PD until it is totally (100%) eliminated. So when the PD resurfaces, we must study the intensity with which it resurfaces, as compared to the earlier occasions, and then decide whether the PD has reduced or not; for example, if the PD of getting angry resurfaces, check the intensity of the anger and how long it lasted to decide whether the PD has reduced to some extent. It is necessary to pursue the removal of PDs with perseverance even at the action level.

If there is the death of a close relative in the family,
chant “Shri Gururdeva Datta” for 12 days

    In case there is the death of a close relative in a seeker’s family, chant ‘Shri Gurudev Datta’ for 12 days for the departed soul. If there is any trouble while chanting this, chant the name obtained in the experiment of seven deities’ chant.

Due to the intense urge (talmal) to acquire knowledge,
seekers are getting knowledge from the Subtle

    A few seekers are getting knowledge from the divine source. This happens due to the intense desire in them to acquire knowledge. Some seekers feel that despite the presence of personality defects in these seekers, how can they acquire knowledge from God? There is no relation between intense urge to acquire knowledge and personality defects. A person, although very clever in his studies, can have many personality defects; the case is similar for the process of acquiring knowledge through the Subtle.

Speak respectfully to those elder to you

    It has been observed that in many districts, seekers younger in age do not talk respectfully with seekers elder to them. While talking about the mistakes of the older seekers, the younger seekers raise their voice and ignore the elderly seekers while talking to others. Considering their age, the younger seekers must remember that they should be respectful towards the older seekers. It is said in spiritual science that one should be respectful towards the more knowledgeable, elders and those of a higher spiritual level.

Every active seeker must be careful about his ego

    In some districts, the active seekers and seekers responsible at the district level do not like their mistakes pointed out by the guiding seeker in front of everyone. They do not mind if the same mistakes are brought to their notice individually. Many times they have to be convinced at the intellect level about the mistakes committed by them, as their stance is that due to the mistakes of other seekers, they behaved in a particular manner. However, a mistake is a mistake and it has to be accepted even if it is pointed out in front of everyone. Non-acceptance of mistakes in front of others is a sign of high ego. One of the important stages in spiritual practice is reduction of ego. Everyone should be careful about this aspect. When ego increases, one can lose so many years of spiritual practice in a moment and there can be decline in spiritual level.

At a time, three to four persons can circumambulate (parikrama)
around the ‘sattvik’ idol kept on exhibit by the Sanatan organization

    The ‘sattvik’ idols of Lord Ganesh made by the Sanatan organization have been sent to the Indian states of Maharashtra, Karnatana and Goa for viewing. The objective of keeping these idols on exhibit is that people will know how an idol should be and they can experience the divine consciousness by making ‘parikramas’ around these idols. At a time, three to four persons can make ‘parikramas’ around the idol. If there are many persons who wish to make ‘parikrama’ and there is enough space, then they can form a big circle so that more persons can make ‘parikrama’ at a time. It is similar to a temple where many people make parikrama in the sanctum-sanctorum at the same time.

While storing a broom, keep its stock (brush) facing upwards

    While storing a broom, keep it in such a way that its handle remains downwards on the floor. The portion of the broom that is used for sweeping has a greater capacity to absorb frequencies than its handle. So when a broomstick is kept with the handle portion on the floor, the other portion can absorb the ‘sattvik’ frequencies from the atmosphere. If kept otherwise, the distressing frequencies coming from hell (paataal) get accumulated in the handle. While sweeping, when we hold the handle, these distressing frequencies can enter our body and they can affect us. Therefore, always keep the broom with its handle on the floor.

When queries are raised about the loss caused to Devad ashram (India) in the recent floods, the following points may be kept in mind before answering such queries

    In last month’s heavy downpour and floods, Devad ashram incurred losses to the tune of two million Rupees (Indian currency). Relative to this, seekers are asked questions like – When Sanatan organization seekers have knowledge of the Subtle, how were such losses caused to Devad ashram? When seekers had subtle knowledge, why did they not take the responsibility of saving the ashram? In the same periodical, the Sanatan organization is publishing news about seekers having subtle knowledge and also about loss incurred by Devad ashram due to flooding. Then what is the use of having subtle knowledge? To such queries, seekers should answer in the following way:

  1. Seekers are living in the present, they have no interest in taking a subtle reading of future events;
  2. Seekers are not interested in worldly things like floods;
  3. Seekers only see what God shows them and know only what God tells them;
  4. Knowing things through subtle and overcoming them are two totally different things. One needs subtle sense organs to have knowledge of the subtle and subtle motor organs to surmount the difficult situation.

Seekers, get prepared with body, mind and intellect for the Righteousness-Unrighteousness battle, which will begin in three months and 18 days by changing your attitude (Comment: It comes to either Dec 31, 2005 or Jan 1,2006)

    Seekers, in just three months and 18 days, the battle between Righteousness-Unrighteousness will begin. Hence, get prepared with the body, mind and Intellect. This is My last message to you all. Seekers, I have been telling you; but you did not pay attention to it seriously or did not think about what I have told you so far. Out of all seekers, 55% of seekers did not realise the importance of Knowledge given by Me. They are careless and irresponsible. Therefore, henceforth I will give Knowledge considering just the remaining 45% of seekers and your Guru. In the battle that will begin after three months and 18 days, I will protect only these 45% of seekers and will give them the energy for the battle and get Kshatradharma sadhana (spiritual practice of protecting seekers and destroying evil) done from them. The remaining 55% of seekers are doing work superficially and are trying to show-off that ‘my work is everlasting’. Even so, in the coming difficult time they will realise their superficial attitude and will regret it. Such remorse will have no place in the subconscious mind of God and Guru. Therefore, seekers with such superficial attitude, change this attitude and instead of showing off, display seekership and Divine qualities. In Spirituality, superficial display has no value, but display of qualities with affection has importance.

    Seekers, the period of three months and 18 days is easily countable, hence now wake up by yourself. Now, I will not waste My energy to wake you up. Each seeker is not Arjun. I had woken up the sleeping Arjun who was entangled in Great Illusion because he was true to Righteousness and was My true devotee. Since you all neither have qualities like Arjun, nor have intense desire and devotion like him, I am not going to wake you up. Therefore, if you want to end your life span, then continue doing such incorrect actions. If you feel that ‘I should make use of this life’, then the moment you read this, change your attitude and prepare yourself with body, mind and intellect for battle of Righteousness-Unrighteousness.

Lord Krishna (through Sanatan organization’s seeker Ms. Megha Nakate, August 26th, 2005, 2:10 a.m.)

*If one is not currently doing any spiritual practice, or to complement one's current spiritual practice, one can begin with the simple, but powerful spiritual practice of chanting or constantly remembering God's Name according to one's religion. Chanting also acts as a useful complement to any spiritual path one may be already following. It is a practice recommended for the current times by Holy texts and Saints of all religions.

  • Seekers in the initial stages of spiritual practice (less than one year) can repeat The Name of the Lord as per their religion (refer to Issue 3 Clarification of Doubts section for details).

  • Seekers who have been doing regular spiritual practice for over a year or so can determine the appropriate chant for them from the experiment given in Issue 124, Message to Seekers section.
