Bliss lies beyond happiness and unhappiness

“Happiness and misery are the obverse and reverse side of the same coin.”

Implied meaning:

One who experiences happiness has to experience unhappiness, too. However, due to spiritual ignorance (ego), one feels that one can have happiness without misery. This ignorance and resulting feeling is so overpowering that one continually looks for happiness through any and everything that one does.

The only way one can eliminate unhappiness is to go beyond happiness and unhappiness, and attain Bliss. The pursuit of Spirituality is the only pathway that can lead one to Bliss.
