of the mind in the table below. It uses the example of the various methods used
to treat a patient with high blood pressure (B. P.) caused by anxiety.

a few years, the personality of most individuals changes completely. Thereafter,
they are able to face any anxiety-provoking situations; hence, the chance of
recurrence of high B.P. are very low.

science of Spirituality, the mind comprises of the conscious mind (of which one
is aware) and the sub-conscious mind (that is beyond one’s
conscious awareness). The conscious mind comprises about 10% of the mind, whereas
the sub-conscious mind comprises about 90% of the mind. That is why, any change
in one’s habits or attitudes has to be effected in the sub-conscious mind.
Change at the conscious mind level, such as New Year’s resolution to quit
smoking or start exercising, does not last.
**** Though the treatment completely cures the disease, the percentage of
people getting cured is very small, as most people leave the spiritual practice
half way.
