Messages to Seekers
For the week ending March 26, 2005
Messages to Seekers
Presently distressing energies are trying to terrify seekers by giving them very bad dreams. View these dreams from the point of view of study.

    Presently seekers are having bad dreams about themselves, their relatives or co-seekers meeting with accidents. This scares them and they seek advice from seekers from the Subtle Department. If one has the same dream three times, only then is there a possibility of it coming true. Since the negative energies are instrumental in seekers having such bad dreams, instead of getting scared, seekers should just view these dreams from the study point of view and treat themselves to stop such dreams. For example, chanting* before going to bed, reciting the Rama Raksha or Hanuman stotras, making a circle (mandal) with the strips of deities names around the bed, keeping a photograph of a deity or books published by the Sanatan organization under the pillow, etc.

Seekers, if you have ego about the satseva you
are doing for the Sanatan organization, then give it up

    Doing spiritual practice for removing ego and merging with God is the aim of a seeker. As we try to root out our ego at individual level, we must also make attempts to destroy ego at the samashti (collective) level. Taking pride like “I am practicing Spirituality through the medium of the Sanatan organization” or “I am doing collective spiritual practice” indicates one’s ego. This ego is the obstacle in our path towards attainment or realization of God. We should therefore eliminate ego.

Seekers, like Lord Krishna, we have to
destroy evil by means of our spiritual love (preeti)

    The need of the hour is ‘Kshatradharma’ spiritual practice (protecting seekers and destroying evildoers). We should therefore train in self-defense. When it is advised that along with ‘Kshatravrutti (warrior attitude)’, we have to inculcate in us the divine attribute of spiritual love (preeti), it affects the warrior attitude in seekers. Seekers should note that spiritual love is a constituent of individual spiritual practice wherein we should feel love for everyone including the evil persons in the society. It will, however, be necessary to destroy them when they start creating obstacles in our mission of establishing the divine kingdom. Just as Lord Krishna had to kill Kansa, his own uncle, for the protection of people, similarly, to protect seekers so that they may continue their spiritual practice, we have to destroy, with love, evils in the society. One thing to be noted here is that the attributes of spiritual love and warrior attitude are not adverse, but complementary to each other.

To which seekers of the Sanatan organization do the mantriks (distressing energies) give more trouble?
  1. Seekers who have intense urge (talmal) to do samashti (collective) spiritual practice;
  2. Seekers shouldering higher responsibilities at samashti level;
  3. Seekers carrying various important responsibilities in the camps organized for increasing seeker-ship qualities.

Seekers, train yourself in checking blood pressure and pulse rate

   The distressing energy troubles faced by seekers in the Sanatan organization are going to increase day by day. Seekers, therefore, have to undergo severe physical distress. In the last month, seekers had problems of sudden increase in their blood pressure and irregularity in the pulse rate. Immediate diagnosis is necessary in such types of physical ailments. Seekers mainly staying in the ashrams should learn to check blood pressure and pulse from the Sanatan organization‘s seekers or well-wishers who are in the medical field.

Remember the following points while organizing book exhibitions

    Where book exhibitions are held regularly, keep records of the special issues (for example, how many curious individuals visit the bookstall, the demand for books in which language, etc.) so that in subsequent times, books can be made available accordingly.

*If one is not currently doing any spiritual practice, or to complement one's current spiritual practice, one can begin with the simple, but powerful spiritual practice of chanting or constantly remembering God's Name according to one's religion. Chanting also acts as a useful complement to any spiritual path one may be already following. It is a practice recommended for the current times by Holy texts and Saints of all religions.

  • Seekers in the initial stages of spiritual practice (less than one year) can repeat The Name of the Lord as per their religion (refer to Issue 3 Clarification of Doubts section for details).

  • Seekers who have been doing regular spiritual practice for over a year or so can determine the appropriate chant for them from the experiment given in Issue 124, Message to Seekers section.
