Reduction in fear after chanting*

I had attended the Sanatan organization’s spiritual meetings (satsang) for 2-3 months and came to know the benefits of repeating (chanting) The Lord’s Name. Once, as I was walking alone in an unfamiliar town, late at night, I became fearful. So I began to chant fervently. Immediately, I saw myself protected in God's light and my fear soon went away.

- Ms. Flamini, New Jersey, USA.
[Negative feelings like fear, jealousy, anger, etc., stem from one’s subconscious mind. Thus, for their effective removal, they have to be removed from the subconscious mind. Chanting is a simple, but powerful spiritual practice that works at the subconscious level to remove undesirable attitudes of fear, greed, etc., and can be done anywhere, and at anytime.

Day going smoothly after early completion of daily prescription chants

I have recently commenced spiritual practice under the guidance of the Sanatan organization. As a part of this spiritual practice, I am daily chanting (repeating) a prescribed number of the chants, 'Shri Gurudev Datta' and 'Shri Ganeshaya namaha', in addition to the main chant*as per my religion. I have noticed that I have a good day when I complete the prescription chants in the morning and face some or the other difficulty during the day when I am unable to do so.

- Mrs. Jain, Chicago, USA.
[Prescription chants are like spiritual prescription medication to counteract the influence of spiritual causes like ancestral distressing energy, lack of vital energy, etc., on various problems in life. If taken regularly, on time, it has the effect of preventing or removing the spiritual causes in our day to day problems, as experienced by this reader.

* If one is not currently doing any spiritual practice, or to complement one’s current spiritual practice, one can begin with the simple, but powerful spiritual practice of chanting or constantly remembering God's Name according to one's religion. Chanting also acts as a useful complement to any spiritual path one may be already following. It is a practice recommended for the current times by Holy texts and Saints of all religions.

  • Seekers in the initial stages of spiritual practice (less than one year) can repeat The Name of the Lord as per their religion (refer to Issue 3 Clarification of Doubts section for details).

  • Seekers who have been doing regular spiritual practice for over a year or so can determine the appropriate chant for them from the experiment given in Issue 124, Message to Seekers section.
