| All individuals at different
times in their life go through some degree of depression. To attain the
ultimate aim of spiritual
practice, namely, merging with God, it is essential to imbibe all
His qualities. One of the qualities of The Lord is perfection, as can
be seen in all His Creation. One can strive to cultivate this quality
even in one's day to day life, so that it automatically gets reflected
in one's spiritual life.
One of the ways to ingrain this quality is by developing the attitude
of keeping the place of one's residence always neat and clean. This can
be done by keeping the smallest article, such as a television remote control
device, a magazine, etc., in its designated place after use. One could
also experiment with the placement of the various articles in the house
for the most correct (spiritually pure and pleasant) positioning. This
is because, if placed incorrectly, even the smallest of articles can emanate
negative frequencies, despite being kept tidily and clean, just as it
can emanate positive frequencies when kept in the correct position.
Another way to ingrain the quality of perfection
is by paying attention to grammar and content perfection in one's writing.
Such seemingly minor details, too, make a difference, as they reflect
our attitude of imperfection and when attended to carefully, provide the
opportunity to develop the quality of perfection.
In the initial stages, even though one attempts to develop perfection
in action, as suggested above, by repeated practice and desire to achieve
perfection, this quality gets deeply impressed in our attitude and being.
