Messages to Seekers

To overcome the distress of mantriks (practitioners of mantra)
from Hell, say a specific prayer according to the nature of distress

The mantriks from Hell (Patal) are planting various types of subtle devices in the bodies of seekers, through which they can give distress. Some examples in this respect and the relevant prayers to be said are given below.

Mantriks showing evil, filthy and frightening scenes to seekers through subtle means

The mantriks are trying to stop seekers’ prayers and chanting* by showing them various scenes through subtle means. A lady-seeker used to see evil, filthy and frightening scenes through subtle means continuously. When a subtle reading of her was taken, it was found that a mantrik had kept in her eyes a black strip showing all these scenes and she could therefore see all these pictures one by one. However, she found a great change when she said a prayer, “Let the black strip-device showing pictures through the subtle dimension be destroyed and let a covering be formed around the mind and intellect of the mantrik who has planted the strip-device. Let the mantrik be destroyed if the time is ripe for his destruction.”

Mantriks plant evil thoughts in mind and make the seeker listen to a chant

The mantriks keep a special type of device in the seeker’s body, which plants evil thoughts in his mind, or makes him listen to a particular chant. The seeker then starts to hear the chant continuously as if he were listening to an audio cassette or bad thoughts keep coming continuously. Under such circumstances, the seeker should say the following prayer, “Let the devices which are releasing evil thoughts in ______ (seeker utters own name)’s mind and which are making me _______(seeker’s name) hear the chant (when seeker hears chant) be destroyed; and at the same time let a covering be formed on the mind and intellect of the mantrik concerned. If the time for the destruction of the mantrik is ripe enough, let him be destroyed.”

Say prayers to destroy the devices in particular parts of the body as per the distress experienced

The mantriks are continuing to cause trouble to seekers by planting devices in various parts of their body. For example, if the device is placed in the ear, the seeker experiences an itching sensation, whereby he may not be able to hear anything or if anyone talks to him he will hear exactly the opposite of what is spoken, etc. Seekers should therefore identify the part of the body where distress is felt and then accordingly say proper and specific prayers to destroy the device.

Mantriks are throwing the seekers into despair
by planting redundant thoughts in their minds.
Fight with them with the weapons of prayer and chanting

In the epic war of Righteousness (Dharma) over unrighteousness (adharma) currently going on, the mantriks from Hell are trying to gain control of seekers’ minds and intellect. They are trying to plant redundant thoughts in seekers’ minds and make them restless. As the restlessness increases, chanting and satseva falter, and at last despair sets in. Despair further leads to an increase in the seeker’s inferiority complex caused by personality defects. The mantrik then takes full control of the seeker’s mind and extreme thoughts start creeping in such as, ‘Now I am not in a position to do anything, I am not doing my satseva in a responsible manner. I should better give up the responsibility of satseva, I should forget everything about spiritual practice and continue my earlier worldly, mundane life style or now that I am a totally worthless person, I should commit suicide’.

If seekers start having thoughts along these lines, they should immediately contact their co-seekers in satseva. The affected seeker should minutely notice what sort of trouble he is having and then say an exact prayer to ward off the specific trouble. For example, if one starts getting restless or short-tempered, he should pray to Lord Ganapati, “Let the mantrik who has created restlessness in me be tied with your noose. Let the black covering on my mind and intellect be destroyed.” At the same time, chanting and preliminary spiritual treatment may also be taken.

Seekers! Beware of mantriks’ new strategy!
Mantriks are trying to enter seekers’ bodies by
creating spiritual experiences of presenting articles in the gross form!

The trouble from distressing energies to seekers is growing with every passing day. Now the mantriks from the sixth and seventh levels of Hell are presenting various articles in the gross form to seekers. For example, during chanting, a gold locket maybe presented, or toys given to children, showering of flowers done on seekers, etc. The strategy is to release black energy on seekers through these articles, dissociate them from spiritual practice and enter their body.

On June 18, 2004, a mantrik from the sixth level of Hell tried to give trouble to a seeker by presenting a bangle in the gross form. We narrate here the whole episode. Without getting caught up in such spiritual experiences, seekers should concentrate on praying and chanting with intense spiritual emotion. The articles received should not be put into use and the Subtle Department may be contacted immediately for further guidance in this matter.

Mantrik from sixth level of Hell hurls a green bangle on a lady-seeker’s person in order to create a black covering on her intellect

From 5.45 a.m. to 6.45 a.m. on June 18, 2004, a session of collective chanting was going on in the house of Shri Padale, a seeker at Karad in Satara district, India. After the session was over I was leaving for home when suddenly a green colored bangle fell on me, apparently from the fourth floor of the apartment. I took the bangle and kept it at home. A similar incident had occurred on May 17, 2004, when my daughter, Deepali, was washing clothes in front of our house when suddenly a small green bangle fell on her head. That bangle however inadvertently broke. Ms. Veena Adkar, a seeker from subtle department, took a subtle reading of the green bangle that fell on me this time and advised that “A mantrik from the sixth level of Hell had purposely hurled the green bangle on me to create a black covering on my intellect.”

- Mrs. Shobha Ramchandra Chandane, Karad, India.
[Even if the article given by distressing energies gets broken like the above bangle, it should be sent to the subtle department. – Compiler]
If distressing energy trouble is severe,
chant ‘Om Sri Durgadevyai Namaha', 'Om Namah Shivay'
and 'Om Namo Bhagavate Vasudevaya’ one after the other

The mantriks who are inflicting distress on seekers are from the sixth and seventh regions of Hell. They are trying to stop seekers’ chanting in various ways like planting evil thoughts in their minds, showing distressing, frightening and filthy scenes through subtle medium, etc. Examples of which are given below.

Examples of evil thoughts in mind: One gets evil thoughts like hitting oneself, hitting co-seekers, committing suicide, pushing somebody off a balcony, etc.

The following are some examples of scenes the distressing energies are currently showing through subtle medium to seekers.

1. Distressing scenes: One sees scenes like somebody inflicting injuries on the body, hitting on the head or thrusting an injection in the eye, etc.
2. Frightening scenes: Scenes like blood being thrown out of mouth after rinsing with water, seeing one’s own skin burnt, seeing a distorted reflection of oneself in the mirror, and perceiving oneself to be a distressing energy or distressing energy squeezing one’s neck, etc.
3. Filthy scenes: Scenes like distressing energy licking one’s body; seeing sexual activity going on, etc.

If one faces the above type of distress, one should chant ‘Om Sri Durgadevyai Namaha, Om Namah Shivay and Om Namo Bhagavate Vasudevaya’ one after the other. During this chanting, too, the distressing energies can create obstacles. To overcome it, more and more prayers and chanting of destroyer form (marak) should be done. Seekers facing the above distress should do the above chanting daily for anywhere from a half an hour to five hours, depending on one’s capacity. In other words, it should be done for a period according to the guidance of one’s main guiding seeker.

Before eating food, offer it to Guru or God !

Of late, mantriks from Hell have been giving distress to seekers on an alarming scale. They are employing every possible means to give maximum trouble. They have now discovered an ingenious way to perpetrate distress – they are releasing black energy into the food we eat. It is therefore advised that seekers should offer a small portion of food to Guru or God before eating their meals. By making this offering, the power of the respective deity comes into the food. The food offered should thereafter be mixed with the entire meal.

Pray before consuming food!

Before consuming food, one should pray, “Let me _________, (seeker utters own name); Sanatan’s seeker, get strength from the food that is necessary for my spiritual practice and let the black energy be fully destroyed from every cell of my body.” While eating food, we should harbor the spiritual emotion that we are partaking of the holy sacrament (prasad) of our Guru. The seekers who are cooking in the kitchen should pray to Lord Krishna, “If any black energy has entered the food, let it be destroyed and let the one eating the food get the benefit of the sattvik component from it.” While cooking, they should give specific emphasis to prayers, continuously chanting and constantly having the spiritual emotion that ‘I am cooking food for my Guru’.

Say a prayer that, “Let the distressing energy
be destroyed if the time of its destruction has arrived”

It is necessary to say a specific prayer with respect to the trouble given by distressing energies. Hitherto we have been praying, “Let the power of the distressing energy be destroyed.” However, we are not aware of the amount of merit-accumulated destiny (punya-sanchay) of the distressing energies and their power. We also do not know whether the time of their destruction has arrived or not. We should therefore pray as follows, “Let the distressing energy be destroyed if the time of destruction of its power has arrived; if the time of destruction has not yet come, let there be a covering on the mind and intellect of the distressing energy and let the obstacles in my spiritual practice be removed.”

Fight as long as possible. When unable to fight, adopt observer stance

There has been an alarming rise in seekers’ troubles caused by the distressing energies during the last three years. We should put up a fight with the distressing energies when suffering from such trouble. Our deadly weapons are ‘specific prayer and chanting of The Lord’s Name in the destroyer (marak) form’. Not fighting with distressing energies in spite of being able to fight while troubled, amounts to maintaining an observer stance towards our problems. If we adopt such an unwarranted observer attitude towards our trouble, we only are at a loss in our spiritual practice.

Since our body is the battlefield in our struggle against the distressing energies, if we do not fight, it will have serious repercussions on our body. We should fight as long as we can. When we realize that we are unable to fight, we need not get emotional and feel sorry that “I am defeated.” Instead, we should maintain an observer attitude towards whatever is happening around us. While dealing with the trouble caused by distressing energies, if we adopt a studious attitude, we can learn what the Lord wants to teach us through these things. At the same time, we can also learn how to maintain an observer stance towards our distress.

Seekers with severe distressing energy trouble should
do their individual chanting and not collective chanting

Currently, we are chanting for the amount of time set aside for collective chanting and individual chanting out of the total prescribed time. In fact, individual chanting is more beneficial than collective. However, it may not be possible for one to do individual chanting because one has to face a number of difficulties like various thoughts entering one’s mind, feeling sleepy, etc. Collective chanting is comparatively easier, because the mind concentrates faster and it helps all the participating seekers.

Many seekers encounter severe trouble from distressing energies, like having physical problems such as feeling physically heavy or numb or getting body pain, etc., while doing satseva, praying or chanting and mental problems like having evil thoughts or doubts in the mind, etc. Such seekers should not do collective chanting but should continue only with their individual chanting. In order to remove problems caused by distressing energies, individual chanting is 70% effective whereas the effectiveness of collective chanting is only 30%. If the affected seeker is unable to concentrate on individual chanting, in the beginning he should chant for some time and do satseva for some time, and again chant for some time and return to satseva for some time. This exercise may be repeated until he is able to concentrate on his individual chanting. In this exercise, the time allotted for chanting may be increased gradually from a few minutes to one hour. However, during the bhav satsang, the severely affected seekers should do collective chanting as usual.

Ignore subtle knowledge acquired due to the presence of
distressing energies and instead concentrate on prayers and chanting.
Contact seekers from the Subtle Department through
local guiding seekers in case of spiritual problems

Some seekers are able to see from the subtle dimension because of the existence of distressing energies in them. They can also know the distressing energy troubles faced by other seekers. The mantriks in some seekers deliberately give such spiritual experiences to seekers in order to mislead them. Under such circumstances, the seekers should remain alert and should ignore the fact that they are able to perceive from the subtle dimension. Instead, they should concentrate on increasing their chanting and satseva. Others seekers should also not narrate and get guidance for these problems from the particular seeker, with the wrong impression that he has subtle knowledge. Seekers should understand the fact that the particular seeker is able to perceive from the subtle only because of the presence of distressing energies. If seekers have any trouble or problem from distressing energies, they should contact the Subtle Department through their local guiding seekers and undergo the spiritual treatment as advised by them.

As such problems are routed through the local guiding seekers, they also come to know about the distress of the seekers. They are in a position to monitor whether the concerned seeker is undergoing the spiritual treatment properly and according to the guidance of the Subtle Department or not.

Seekers, even a minor mistake in satseva is harmful for spiritual progress; therefore, be aware of it and avoid minor mistakes effortfully

While doing satseva, seekers commit both minor and major mistakes continuously. By paying attention to minor mistakes, seekers can find ways to overcome them and improve on those mistakes very quickly. In the process of ‘Personality Defect Removal’, seekers have started paying attention to mistakes made in satseva. While making these efforts, some seekers take note of only major mistakes. Some seekers have the attitude that – ‘while doing satseva, minor mistakes are bound to happen’, and ignore such mistakes.

Sometimes, seekers proofreading in the Sanatan organization’s Marathi publication (Dainik Sanatan Prabhat) office do not improve on grammatical mistakes. Some seekers have the incorrect attitude that ‘while checking thousands of words, one or two mistakes are bound to be there’ and hence do not pay attention to it.

We are doing spiritual practice for attaining God, in which ‘attaining God’ means imbibing all of His qualities and becoming One with Him. It is therefore important to imbibe all of His qualities. If one who proofreads for the daily as work commits mistakes, then it does not make much of a difference to him, but when done as part of spiritual practice by a seeker, it means that God is getting it done from him. A single mistake in satseva means going one step away from God. If seekers have the spiritual emotion (bhav) that ‘God is with me’ while doing any satseva, then God Himself shows him such minor mistakes and helps overcome them. Therefore, seekers should seriously pay attention to even minor mistakes in satseva and make efforts to reduce such mistakes.

Those whose chanting is automatically occurring in the subconscious mind, and are aware of it, need not sit for collective chanting

There are four modes of speech – Vaikhari, Madhyama, Pashyanti and Para – in which chanting occurs. A seeker progresses through these steps and finally becomes One with The Lord’s Name. In the Madhyama mode of speech, the chanting occurs automatically without efforts. This is known as ‘chanting occurring in the subconscious mind’. A seeker can determine whether chanting is occurring in the subconscious mind automatically based on the following:

Becoming aware that chanting has not stopped after completing an activity of concentration or after finishing talking to someone; being able to hear the chanting in the subconscious mind; while listening to this chanting, feeling good or experiencing Bliss; feeling like listening to this chanting constantly, etc.

If one is experiencing the above, he has passed the Vaikhari stage, and hence need not sit for collective chanting that is done aloud (in Vaikhari).

*If one is not currently doing any spiritual practice, one can begin with the simple, but powerful spiritual practice of chanting or constantly remembering God's Name according to one's religion.

  • Seekers in the initial stages of spiritual practice (less than one year) can repeat The Name of the Lord as per their religion (refer to Issue 3 Clarification of Doubts section for details).
  • Those seekers who have been doing regular spiritual practice for over a year or so can determine the appropriate chant for them from the experiment given in Issue 124, Message to Seekers section.
