Answer to the Subtle Experiment in Issue 233:

Figure A depicted the state of affairs in a spiritually ideal society. In such a society, people would be spiritually inclined and pure; naturally, such a society would be progressive on all fronts. It would be fit to be called the Divine Kingdom, since divinity would be felt in all aspects of life. In such a society, the rulers would be chosen based on their divine qualities like wisdom, generosity, foresight, compassion, etc. They would rule the country as their service to God (satseva).

Figure B depicted the state of affairs in the world today, which is ruled by political parties full of selfish motives. Naturally, no thought is given to the all-round progress of individuals and society, and society is in turmoil with terrorism, corruption, immorality, violence, etc.

Figure A emits positive vibrations and one feels pleasant looking at it. Figure B emits negative vibrations and one feels unpleasant looking at it. If mere depictions of a divine rule can feel so pleasant, one can imagine the difference and Bliss in an actual divine, ideal society. Such a society can dawn only if each of us undertakes sincere individual and collective spiritual practice.

*If one is not currently doing any spiritual practice, one can begin with the simple, but powerful spiritual practice of chanting or constantly remembering God's Name according to one's religion.

  • Seekers in the initial stages of spiritual practice (less than one year) can repeat The Name of the Lord as per their religion (refer to Issue 3 Clarification of Doubts section for details).
  • Those seekers who have been doing regular spiritual practice for over a year or so can determine the appropriate chant for them from the experiment given in Issue 124, Message to Seekers section.
