Dear Reader,
The guidance of doing the seven deities chant is not restricted to the
seekers of the Sanatan organization, but is for anyone who feels that
they can do it.
This point will be clear when one understands the science behind the
guidance given to chant the names of the seven deities. Due to the recent
unprecedented rise in distressing
energies, seekers are unable to do spiritual
practice smoothly.
To explain this further, one can take the analogy of a sportsman. A
sportsman regularly exercises to attain his goal of excelling in his field.
However, if the sportsman falls seriously ill, he will first have to overcome
his illness and only then can he resume his regular exercise routine.
Similarly, a seeker worships the principle that is worshiped in the religion
he is born into (Kuladevata), to attain his goal of spiritual progress.
However, as a result of the obstacles created by distressing energies,
seekers are currently required to chant the seven deities’ chant
to overcome these obstacles.
Seekers who wish to implement the guidance on doing chanting of the
seven deities should remember one important point. Since different types
of distressing energies create the obstacles, one is required to perform
a subtle experiment to find out which of the chants of the seven deities
is most appropriate to overcome their particular obstacles.
In other words, just as different medicines are prescribed for different
types of ailments, one has to chant the Names of specific deities depending
on the type of distressing energy obstructing their spiritual practice.
Performing the subtle experiment is important to determine the specific
chant that is needed.
Detailed guidance on how to perform the subtle experiment is given in ‘Message
to Seekers’ section of the Sanatan organization’s Weekly Online
Issue 124.
