Messages to Seeker
Messages for Seekers
Seekers, change prayers and gratitude
from Sri Durgadevi to Sri Krushna
As per the times, from June 10, 2004 onwards, pray and pay gratitude to Lord Krushna instead of Sri Durgadevi.

Gratitude
O Sri Krushna, whatever activities we seekers have done during the past half an hour, are all the results of Your Grace and Blessings. We are grateful at Your Holy Feet as You only have provided us this opportunity to do satseva.

Prayer
O Sri Krushna, let the satseva given to us due to Your Grace and Blessings occur as per H. H. Gurudev’s expectations. While doing satseva let our mistakes be realized by us well in time and let them get corrected. Let our feeling of devotion and fighting spirit (kshatravrutti) increase. Let a protection sheath get created from Your Name around us. Let Your grace be always upon all of us seekers. This is the prayer at Your holy feet.

Seekers, change collective chanting, effective June 10, 2004
From June 10, 2004, for the reduction of distress caused by the distressing energies, instead of chanting Sri Durgadevi’s Name during collective chanting*, chant Lord Krushna’s Name for collective chanting.

We have been collectively chanting ‘Om Gan Ganpataye namaha’ (3 times) alternating with ‘Om namo Bhagavate Vasudevaya’ (3 times) for overcoming the distressing energies’ problem and to get energy. In addition, we also did Sri Durgadevi’s collective chanting for 1/3 of total collective chanting hours. Now, in order to reduce the severity of the distress and to get energy in large amounts, instead of Sri Durgadevi’s collective chanting for 1/3 of the total time, do Lord Krushna’s collective chanting effective June 10, 2004.

That is, if the collective chanting is done for a total of two hours, then do ‘Om Gan Ganpataye namaha’ (3 times) alternating with ‘Om namo Bhagavate Vasudevaya’ (3 times) collectively for 1 hour and 20 minutes, and remaining 40 minutes do collective chanting of ‘Om namo Bhagavate Vasudevaya’. When the time of collective chanting is increased or decreased depending on one’s distress, adjust the time for Lord Krushna’s collective chanting accordingly. While doing this collective chanting pray to Lord Krushna ‘Let a protective sheath be created around (utter your name).’ Also, if one cannot do this collective chanting one should do 3- 6 rounds (malas) of ‘‘Om namo Bhagavate Vasudevaya’ at home.

Kindly do individual and collective chanting as given below: (Those seekers who have been advised less than five hours of chanting should decide the amount of individual and collective chanting as below.)

Modified format of weekly bhav satsang effective June 10, 2004
A number of deities are rendering direct help to us in our fight against the distressing energies, troubling our seekers. As ‘God resides where there is bhav (spiritual emotion)’, deities will shower Their Grace on us only if we have bhav. So all active seekers ought to take advantage of the weekly bhav satsang that runs for two hours and five minutes. Seekers’ prayers, chanting and gratitude are being done more or less with spiritual emotion. satsang is being conducted to maintain a consistency in that regard. In keeping with time, the format of satsang has been modified in the following manner.

Format of Satsang

For example, if the bhav satsang wwas being conducted from 10 a.m. to 12.05 p.m.:

10 to 10.05 a.m. Prayers
10.05 to 10.40 a.m. Collective chanting of ‘Om Gang Ganapataye Namaha’ and ‘Om Namo Bhagavate Vasudevaya’ in a 3 X 3 alternate mode. (Prayers for 5 minutes after every 15 minutes of chanting.)
10.40 to 10.45 a.m. Prayers
10.45 to 11.15 a.m. Points on generating spiritual emotion (bhav) (A seeker should explain these points in a spiritually emotional manner for 20 minutes. The remaining 10 minutes should be utilized for spiritual experiences (anubhutis) of seekers with respect to generating spiritual emotion.)
11.15 to 11.20 a.m. Prayers
11.20 to 11.55 a.m. Collective chanting of ‘Om Namo Bhagavate Vasudevaya’ (Prayers for 5 minutes after every15 minutes of chanting.)
11.55 am to 12 pm Prayers
12 pm to 12.05 p.m. Gratitude to deity of worship: “Every action during the day is happening due to Your Grace. Let us have a constant spiritual emotion in our mind that You are only getting everything done from us.”

* If one is not doing any spiritual practice currently, one can begin with the simple, but powerful spiritual practice of chanting or constant remembrance of God's Name as per one's religion. (Seekers at the initial stage should chant the Name of the Family Deity (Kuldevata) or the divine principle as per their religion; refer to Issue 3 Clarification of Doubts section for a list of chants for various religions. Seekers in the advanced stage of spiritual practice can refer to Issue 124, Message to Seekers section to determine the chant appropriate for them.) If one is already doing some spiritual practice, one can complement it with chanting.
