Benefits of having spiritual
emotion towards both the marak and tarak when repeating (chanting)
The Lord’s Name is as follows:
1. The benefit obtained by repeating (chanting) the deities’ Name
in the marak tune, as explained by Sri Durgadevi, with only spiritual
emotion towards the marak form of the deity is 70% beneficial, whereas
with spiritual emotion towards both the tarak and marak forms of
the deity it is 100% beneficial.
2. Spiritual emotion towards the tarak form is the spiritual emotion
of surrender, and thus helps reduce ego.
The improvised method of marak repetition (chanting) of the
Saptadevta’s
Names
Stress upon the bold and underlined letters
in the Names of the Saptadevta (Seven Deities) given below to
activate spiritual emotion towards the
marak forms of the deities. The information about which words are
to be repeated (chanted) with spiritual emotion of surrender, is
given in the text following each Name. When repeating (chanting)
the word with the spiritual emotion for the tarak form of the deity,
one should do so with the spiritual emotion of complete surrender
and say it slowly without giving stress upon it.

Note: While recording the above Names, the pause between two repetitions
of The Name, eg. ‘Om Sri Durgadevyaiy namaha’, or the
time when should it begin the next repetition (chant) of The Name
has been derived after doing a subtle analysis of how long each
deity’s marak form is effective. By repeating (chanting)
The Lord’s Name as above, it is helpful in sustaining the
marak element of that deity in us. One can get the spiritual experiences
(anubhutis) of deities’ manifest form (sagun form) when pronouncing
the words of chants and of unmanifest form (nirgun form) due to
thoughtless mind during the pause between two chants.
