Spiritual emotion on listening to the Holy verse, Ram Raksha

When we were visiting the Sanatan’s ashram in Miraj, India, we heard the seekers recite the Holy verse, Ram Raksha. We recorded it on a CD and play it everyday. Every time I hear it, I want to memorize it, as I feel intense spiritual emotion for Lord Rama while listening to the verse. It also puts me in a deep meditative state and makes me feel very refreshed. The spiritual emotion felt when listening to the verse remains for the rest of the day.

- Mrs. Rishita Gadoya, Toronto, Canada.
[The above experience shows the importance of reverence and spiritual emotion when listening to or reciting Holy verses. If one listened to or recited any Holy verse with such reverence and spiritual emotion, one would surely derive similar benefit from it.

Feeling revitalized and spiritual emotion after praying in surrender and reading the volume, ‘Spiritual Practice for Awakening Spiritual Emotion

Recently, I was unwell and feeling spiritually low for a few days. One evening, I sat in front of the altar in utter surrender and sincerely prayed to H. H. Dr. Jayant Athavale and Sri Durgadevi to show me the defects in my personality that were causing me to make mistakes daily. I prayed to Them to help me not repeat the mistakes, as I felt that it was because of my mistakes that my spiritual practice was getting affected.

As I said this prayer, I felt goose bumps all over the body. I was overwhelmed by Sri Gurudev H. H. Dr. Athavale’s and Sri Durgadevi’s divine presence. I then had a thought to read the volume, ‘Spiritual Practice for Awakening Spiritual Emotion.’ As I opened the book, it opened directly to the spiritual experiences of a seeker in India, Mrs. Mangala Marathe. As I read them, I was overcome with spiritual emotion and tears started flowing. The next pages took me to other seekers, Mrs. Anjali Gadgil and Ms. Sushma Pednekar’s spiritual experiences of how they came to the Sanatan organization with a desire to learn about Spirituality. Afterwards I was feeling light and that I was so fortunate to have H. H. Dr. Athavale. I was completely charged and revitalized.

- Mr. Vamsi Krishna,
The Sanatan’s satsang in Melbourne, Australia
[When one completely surrenders unto God, God surely comes to the rescue. One who remains in such surrender, irrespective of the situation, loses awareness of the body or himself, as is glimpsed in the above experience.
