Common Misconceptions about Spirituality
Repeating (chanting*) Lord Hanuman’s Name
is not meant for married women
Repeating (chanting) Lord Hanuman’s Name helps overcome distressing energy. Some people feel that it is not appropriate for married ladies to repeat (chant) Lord Hanuman’s Name since He is a Brahmachari (Bachelor).

The following will clarify the above misconception:

Amongst Deities of highest level, there do not exist distinctions such as married or single (Bramahachari), male or female, as they are born out of resolve (sankalpa). They are classified as male and female depending on their attributes. Hence, having doubts to worship Lord Hanuman as He is single is baseless.
Worship of Lord Hanuman results in removal of distressing energies. His five aspects are:
1. Destruction of the enemy.
2. Destruction of distressing energies.
3. Increasing the seeker’s capacity to do spiritual practice and saving his life.
4. Removing diseases in the seeker.
5. Making non-seekers inclined towards spiritual practice.

This makes one understand that the repeating (chanting) Lord Hanuman’s Name can be effective for anyone having any of above problems.
