Report of the Sanatan's activity
in Dubai (UAE) as of April 7, 2003

Monthly activity highlights

Satsangs were regularly held, during which attention is paid to each seeker, their efforts in spiritual practice (sadhana), to what extent they have succeeded, and in what ways they can improve. This benefits all seekers, as they not only learn how to improve from direct guidance, but also see how they can implement guidance given to other seekers present.
Seeker Dr. Zubin Nalladaru’s parents and seeker Mrs. Sampada Pereira’s father, all of who have begun spiritual practice since the beginning of their visit to Dubai, continue to chant* and have developed a constant seeking approach, wherein they clarify their doubts on different aspects of Spirituality. All feel that they are in a more positive and happier frame of mind since commencing spiritual practice under the guidance of the Sanatan.

Obstacles

Seekers in the UAE are experiencing an increase in obstacles to their spiritual practice as a result of negative energies, such as:

Seekers who have taken up the task of translating articles from the Indian language of Marathi into English faced obstacles in the initial stages, including being unable to continue translation due to computers crashing.
One seeker felt that since working on translation is done at the work place, the workload has increased and is hence facing a lot of obstacles at work.
Some seekers also faced obstacles of physical illness due to which they were not able to maintain continuity in their chanting* and other spiritual practice.
One seeker felt that his chanting* has increased, but simultaneously he has started developing headaches, too.

All seekers were told to undertake all the negative energy measures to minimize and reduce such problems which includes: sprinkling of holy ash (vibhuti), wearing aprons or caps of the Sanatan while driving the car and doing satseva, keeping photos of deities or H. H. Jayant Athavale with them, keeping the sticks of chameli (a plant) with them, drinking holy ash water regularly throughout the day etc. (Refer to Issues 124 and 158, Message to Seekers section and Issue 109, Practical Guidance section for more details on such measures.)

[Negative energies create obstacles to obstruct seekers’ spiritual practice. It is essential to follow all guidance as mentioned above to overcome these problems.
