All satsang attendees should be instructed to
mentally chant their respective chants for the first 10 minutes of
the satsang. This chanting will make the satsang venue and the minds
of the seekers more sattvik
and hence, all present will benefit more from the satsang.

Measures to be taken when one is affected by
negative energies
|
|
|
When the negative energy in a seeker manifests
during a satsang or elsewhere, seekers should apply holy ash (vibhuti)
to him. They should also give the affected seeker a drink of half a
cup of water, mixed with a pinch of holy ash. If the affected seeker
refuses to drink the vibhuti water, he should not be forced to do
so, as the forced drink may cause choking. The holy ash mixed water
should also be sprinkled on the affected seeker at regular
intervals. The seekers taking these measures for the affected seeker
should continue their respective chants during all the measures, to
avoid being affected by the negative energy in the affected seeker.
If the negative energy in the affected seeker is
not eliminated with the above solution, he (the affected seeker)
should chant the Names of the following deities: Lord Rama,
Lord Hanuman,
Lord Shiva, Goddess
Durga, Lord Ganapati,
Lord Datta, and
Lord Krushna, 10
times each, as explained in Issue 124,
Message to Seekers. The affected seeker should note the deity's Name
that he feels is reducing or eliminating his distress and continue
chanting that Name till the distress subsides totally. Even after
the distress goes away, the affected seeker should continue chanting
this Name until the distress is completely eliminated, or if the
distress does not return, he should continue with this Name for at
least four weeks, to ensure complete protection against that
particular negative energy. During this period, the affected seeker
can discontinue the previously prescribed chants for negative
energies.
