Feeling of lightness after doing satseva
A few months ago, I was doing the satseva of translating the Sanatan's English publication, 'Volume 4: Path of Guru's grace (Gurukrupayoga)' into my native language. On one particular occasion, despite being very tired at the end of the workday and having a severe headache for three consecutive days, I felt enthusiastic to perform the satseva. As I continued with the translation, my headache subsided and I was rid of my fatigue. On completion of the day's translation satseva, while rising from my seat I had a feeling of lightness of body.

- A Seeker.

[When one performs satseva with involvement and sincerity one's sattva component, that is, spiritual level rises during the satseva. Due to this, one loses awareness of the grossness of the physical body and experiences a feeling of lightness.

Absence of usual asthma attack when lighting incense sticks for chanting*
I have been suffering from asthma attacks for the past sixteen years. Due to this, I am unable to tolerate any kind of smoke, strong odors or dust. On the slightest exposure to such inhalants, I react immediately with a bout of wheezing and coughing. Recently, I began lighting incense sticks in the altar at home before commencing the minimum amount** of chanting that I do while sitting in front of the altar. To my amazement I have noticed that the smoke and odor from the lit incense sticks does not have any ill effects on me.

* Repeating The Lord's Name as per one's religion.
** Refer to Issue 120, Practical Guidance for details.

[Rise in the seeker's sattva component, in this case due to chanting, alleviates sickness.
