The subtlest aspect and the True nature

"When you look at an object, your attention is on the gross, its name. Its True nature lies in its subtle most aspect. When one's attention is on the object alone, one is attracted toward the gross."

Implied meaning:
"When you look at an object, your attention is on the gross, its name," implies that upon observing an object one relates to it by its name (which is its identification).
In, "When one's attention is on the object alone, one is attracted toward the gross," 'attraction' refers to the awareness of the object's gross nature.
'True nature' refers to the object's subtle nature, that is, the God principle (Brahman) in it. The God principle is the subtlest aspect of an object. Thus, seekers should focus on the subtle aspects of everything, ignoring the gross, to understand the underlying subtle principle.
