MESSAGE TO SEEKERS

Saint's are made available by God to enable seekers at a disciple level to perform Guruseva!
Sanatan Sanstha was established in the year 1990. At that time, there were only the curious in the Sanstha. In 1995, few of the curious became activists. Few of them became seekers in 1995. Some of them reached the level of a disciple by the year 2005.
A Guru is necessary for the progress of a disciple. Once a Saint or Guru is impressed by the Saint-seva or Guruseva done by the disciple, he progresses fast due to their grace and resolve. For further faster progress of the seekers at a disciple level, God has given us Saints and Gurus in the Sanstha in the form of Pujya Phadke Aji, Pujya Deshpandeji, Pujya Pethe Aji, Pujya Nikam Tatya and H.H. Raghuveer Maharaj. Among them, Pujya Deshpandeji makes the opportunity of seva available by travelling all over Bharat, whereas Pujya Pethe Aji and H.H. Raghuveer Maharaj stay in Sanatan's Ramnathi Ashram to make the opportunity of seva available to seekers. H.H. Pande Maharaj started staying in Sanatan's Devad Ashram since 2007. Now the seekers are moving ahead by serving these Saints. I learnt from this example that, 'God does everything according to the necessity.'
- H.H. Dr. Athavale.

The real ambassadors of Bharat are the Saints of different sects!
Whatever activities are done to develop goodwill for Bharat by the International Embassies of Bharat Government, much more is done by the Saints of different sects; because they have the foundation of Dharma. When sectarians are doing this activity, then why should we nurture white elephants of International Embassies? - H.H. Dr. Athavale.
------------------------------------------------------------
Do this if you want to progress spiritually!
One has to do life-long spiritual practice for individual spiritual progress; then to make the society progress, how many millions will have to do life-long spiritual progress? - H.H. Dr. Athavale.
------------------------------------------------------------
Why does H.H. Dr. Athavale not attend any functions or make visits like other Saints?
It has been said in our Dharma, that one should accept Vanaprasthashram (life of a retired householder) beyond a certain stage in life. Our ancient Kings used to sacrifice their luxuries and accept Vanaprasth-ashram. (Contrary to this, Kings of other religions do not let go of their throne until they die.)
Now that Sanatan seekers have become capable of managing the Sanstha, I have accepted Vanaprasthashram in a way; thus I do not attend any functions. In Vanaprasthashram, maximum time should be given to study of Dharmagranths (Holy scriptures). I do this throughout the day. - H.H. Dr. Athavale.

Caution for those serving in Hindu Janajagruti Samiti!
Seekers who are serving in 'Hindu Janajagruti Samiti' should not allow their situation to become like those who have left RSS and joined the BJP! They have forgotten Hinduism. Be alert that you do not forget 'sadhana'! - H.H. Dr. Athavale.
------------------------------------------------------------
Let us choose the correct Form of atonement!
1. It was noticed that seekers in a few Sanatan centres in Goa have taken incorrect atonement from time to time; for example, someone said, "I will make 10 subscribers for Sanatan Prabhat" and another said, "I will read Granths on vyashti and samashti sadhana. If we have a capacity to make subscribers, then we have to do it, and studying Granths is our sadhana. Choosing these as atonements is incorrect. Some other atonement can be taken instead of these. Atonement should be such that the opposition for sadhana is reduced and which is helpful for sadhana. A few examples are given below.
For seekers not staying in Sanatan Ashrams:
Male seekers can take atonements such as cleaning utensils, ironing clothes, cleaning wheat, rice or vegetables. Student -seekers should also try to help their parents in household chores by taking such atonements. Similarly, by taking atonements which help family members, will reduce opposition for sadhana if any and will help increase their support. If family members are seekers, then by taking such atonements, they will be able to give more time for sadhana.
For seekers staying in Sanatan Ashrams:
The Ashram seekers can take atonements such as doing extra seva apart from their regular seva, taking up full responsibility of cleaning their living rooms etc.
