The Film 'Jodhaa-Akbar' Controversy

The Film 'Jodhaa-Akbar' Controversy

HJS members protests against the film in Panaji, Goa

Fact or Fiction, to deliberately distort History?
Recently, there have been protests in Bharat and Overseas, over the film 'Jodhaa-Akbar'. Some States in Bharat have banned screening of the film, whereas in other States, there have been violent protests. We present here a perspective on the issue, which secularists claim is a non-issue!

------------------------------------------------------------
A film which distorts history, meets with opposition in Rajasthan, UP and MP
Jaipur - The city Chief of the 'All India Kshatriya Mahasangh' Gnyansingh Chauhan and Chief of the women's wing, Ms. Anita Singh expressed that the relation between Akbar and Jodhabai has been misrepresented in the film, a fact that will not be tolerated by the Rajputs. (It is indeed unfortunate that this history distorting film is being opposed only by the Rajputs because Jodhabai was a Rajput. In reality, the tyrannical Emperor Akbar is an enemy for every Bharatiya; hence, all Bharatiyas should strongly oppose this film. That this does not happen, is the reason for the present pathetic condition of the Hindus and Bharat ! - Editor) In Rajasthan, the screening of this film was stopped in 30 theatres due to demonstrations by the Rajput Organisations. A similar situation existed in Uttar Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh.

Protests in America too!
Silicon Valley - Asserting that history has been distorted in the film, the Non-Resident Bharatiyas here called for a boycott of this film. The film portrays the fanatic Moghul Emperor Akbar as secular and portrays his love for a Hindu girl. (One should learn how to respect history from the Non-Resident Bharatiyas, who have protested against this film! - Editor) In a pamphlet released by them, the Non-Resident Bharatiyas said, "The screening of this film has hurt the sentiments of lakhs of citizens who respect the culture, traditions and customs of Bharat". Protesting against this film they said, "The disclaimer that appears five minutes before the film starts says that this could be a tale of fiction, but the plot of this film will remain permanently etched in the hearts of the viewers." (Patriots should, at the time of revolution, remember to take action against Mr. Ashutosh Gowarikar, who has put across a false and fictitious account to the society by distorting history through an influential medium like cinema! - Editor)

HJS Protests!
HJS members protested in front of the Inox Theatre in Panaji, Goa. Hindutvavadi Organisations like Bajrang Dal, RSS, Shivsena and other Political parties and spiritual Organisations like Sanatan Sanstha, Sri Padmanabh Sampradaya of Tapobhumi also took part in this protest. A protest letter containing signatures of Hindus was presented to the Chief Minister of Goa.

Shameful Hindus!
While all over the country, Hindutvavadi Organisations are protesting against the film, it is Hindus only who are thronging theatres to watch this film. Such Hindus are worthy of getting killed by the terrorists!
