The Bloodbath in Orissa!
Muslims commemorate the demolition of the Babri Masjid as a 'Black day' on 6th December each year. Similarly, Hindus, trying to work for Hindutva should not forget the killings of Hindu leaders by Hindu-haters, and stop conversions. During the annual and monthly shraddh of these leaders, remember how they were killed!
Bhubaneshwar (Orissa) - On 23rd August 2008, in the evening of Janmashtami (the Birth Day of Lord Krushna, one of the most sacred days of Hindus), Vedant Kesari Swami Lakshma-nand Saraswati, popularly addressed as Swamiji, like millions of Hindus was on a fast along with four of his disciples in an Ashram in Jalespatta - a remote hamlet, 120 kilo-meters from Phulbani in Kandhamal District, Orissa.
That being Janmashtami day, the girl inmates of the Ashram were busy preparing for the special-day supper. Swamiji after finishing his evening prayer, along with the inmates of the Ashram, was interacting with his disciples.
Fifteen young masked-men armed with AK-47 rifles and other sharp weapons entered the Ashram and took position at different points. The attackers, then, savagely attacked Swamiji and his disciples and hacked the bodies and badly mutilated them with axes and other sharp weapons.
Swamiji had been attacked by the Christian terrorists 8 times in the past, before he was finally murdered.
Maoists kill Swami Lakshman-anand and his followers!
Five persons including Swami Lakshmananand, who was spearheading the mission of stopping conversions of tribal people in Kandhamal District of Orissa, were gunned down by Christian Maoists, thus exposing the game of Christian missionaries. (The incident amply demonstrates that Hindu leaders engaged in uniting Hindus are becoming the targets of the Christian missionaries. To foil their game-plan Hindus should unite!
- Editor) The incident sparked wide resentment amongst the people and an irate mob set a church on fire. High alert was sounded as tension prevailed in the Kandhamal District.
Thousands take to the streets after Swamiji's murder!
Thousands of people took to the streets after Swamiji's murder. Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) and other Hindu Organisations stopped traffic on the road and at some places the agitators stopped trains. The Hindu Organisations called for a bandh. (What is the use of observing one day's bandh? The Hindus should continue the agitation till the murderers are punished.

Twelve churches burnt in Orissa!
The agitators who turned violent burnt down 12 churches in Kandhamal District and at some places attacked and vandalised Police stations.
Hindus killed in Police firing!
Irate Hindus attacked a church at Barakhama in Kandhamal District. Four Hindus were killed when the Police opened fire to bring the situation under control.
Shoot-at-sight orders in Kandhamal District!
Violence erupted in Kandhamal District on the killing of Swami Lakshmananand Saraswati. Cufew was clamped in the District and shoot-at-sight orders were issued. (Leaders gave shoot-at-sight orders against agitators in Orissa because they are Hindus; but when agitators in Kashmir openly indulge in treacherous deeds, the leaders maintain a convenient silence, because the agitators there are Muslim!

Congress demands CBI enquiry!
Mr. Kabil Sibal, Congress spokesperson said that Central Bureau of Investigation should enquire into the violence following the killing of Swami Lakshmananand Saraswati. The Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh said that the violence in Orissa was a blot on the Nation. He assured various Christian Associations that families affected by riots will be provided compensation. Various Christian leaders called on the Prime Minister under the leadership of Catholic Bishop Conference and demanded intervention in the Orissa violence.
Prime Minister rushed to help Christians in Orissa!
Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh declared that he would make a special provision for the people who were killed in the violence in Orissa or were adversely affected by it. (Prime Minister took prompt action as Christians suffered in the violence. He should also let the people know what he had done for the Kashmiri Hindus who were killed by terrorists!
- Editor) A Congress delegation from Kerala called on Dr. Singh. The delegation included Kerala's ex-CM Oomen Chandy, PG Kurien and some Congress MLAs. (The Christian MLAs from Kerala meet the PM for the Christians in Orissa. How many Hindu representatives take-up matters with higher authorities when there is injustice on Hindus? When a Hindu Saint in Orissa was killed in Orissa by Christian Maoists, how many Hindu leaders raised their voice?

Pope protests attacks on Christians!
Vatican - The supreme priest of Christians, Pope Benedict XVI protested against the attacks on Christians by Hindus in Orissa. He said that he would protest any attack on mankind, as also the attack on Swami Lakshmananand.
Christians warn of raising an armed wing!
A Christian priest who arrived in New Delhi from Bhubaneshwar warned that if the Government failed to control the Orissa violence, Christians would raise an armed wing. (When Hindus are being attacked brutally in a Hindu majority Bharat, why do they not feel the need to have such an armed wing for
self-defence? - Editor) The priest had already called upon the PM and Home Minister and was a member in the Christian delegation which was to meet the President the next day. He also said that this meeting would not yield any results. (Does this mean that the Christians have no faith in democracy?

Hundreds of Christians embrace Hindu Dharma in Orissa!
On the one hand there was widespread violence in Orissa and on the other, hundreds of Christians returned to Hindu Dharma.
When this happened, Mr. Sajan K George, Convener of 'Global Council of Indian Christians' said that at some places Christians were embracing Hindu Dharma due to fear of violence and at other places they were being converted to Hindu Dharma forcibly. (Why does Mr. George not spell the real reason that the Christians are returning to Hindu Dharma because they have realised the true nature of Christianity?

Congress seeks President's intervention in Orissa imbroglio!
The Congress demanded that President Ms. Pratibha Patil intervene in the Orissa imbroglio to bring the situation under control. (Surprisingly, the Congress never demanded such an intervention when hundreds of Hindus were being killed by the terrorists in Kashmir!

Leftists demand ban on VHP and Bajrang Dal!
The Leftists demanded that VHP and Bajrang Dal, who were engaged in terrorist activities in Orissa and other parts of the country be banned. (This is height of Leftists' hatred for Hindus! They have never demanded a ban on SIMI, which is spreading terrorism in the country!

Tight security for shraddh of Swami Lakshmananand!
Swamiji's rite of shraddh was concluded peacefully amidst tight security. To prevent the entry of anti-social elements in the programme, the check points of 6 roads leading to the District were provided with heavy Police force. (Many Hindus would have missed the shraddh of their beloved leader due to this Police action! The decision of the Police to disallow entry to people, is itself an anti-social decision.

Ban on procession against killing of Swamiji!
The Orissa Government banned any procession in connection with the killing of Swami Lakshmananand. (This is suppression of Hindus! It is ironical that Hindus are prevented from taking out a simple procession to protest against killing of their leaders in a Hindu-majority country!

Christians close Schools, HJS protests!
Kerala Christians close Educational Institutions!
Kerala Christians closed their educational institutions in protest against the attack on Christians in Orissa. Organisations like
'Human Rights Watch', 'Christian Solidarity Network', 'Dalit Freedom Network' and
'Baker Fund for Religious Liberty' appealed to the European Union and USA that they should demand immediate end to the violence in Orissa. (On the one hand we find Christian Organisations in Bharat who appeal to the entire Christian population of the world to bring pressure on leaders when their members are attacked and on the other, we find the Hindu community that remains ignorant of the killing of its own leaders!

More than 25,000 schools run by Christians remained closed!
The patience of Hindus ended when Swami Lakshmananand was killed by the Christian Maoists. The Hindu volcano that erupted following the murder killed many Christians. In protest, more than 25,000 schools run by Christians throughout the country remained closed. In some places, Christians took out processions. (On the one hand we find Christians who close their schools throughout the country for an attack on them and on the other, we find Hindus who choose to ignore the killing of a Saint! - Editor)
HJS opposes Christian Organisations move to close schools in Goa!
Goa - Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) said in a representation that it is not appropriate to harm the educational interests of students as the schools and the innocent students are in no way associated with the events in Orissa. Hence, HJS protested against the closure of educational institutions run by Christians. HJS spokesperson said,
"It is inappropriate to create hype about the killing of a few Christians and to close the schools, ignoring the fact that Swami Lakshmananand and his 4 followers were killed. If the same logic is applied and the schools are closed for attacks on Hindu Dharma - like the Amarnath yatra, vandalism of Idols of Deities etc., even 365 days in a year would be inadequate. There are not only Christian students, but Hindu students too who study in these schools. If all these schools are receiving Government grants, why is a permission of the Education Department not mandatory before closing the schools? Can schools be closed keeping the Education Department in the dark. How far is it appropriate to close schools because people of only one religion were attacked?
CM passes the buck to Education Department!
When Mr. Jayesh Thali of HJS contacted Chief Minister of Goa, Mr. Digambar Kamat in this regard, he said,
"Presently I am not the Education Minister. You talk on this subject with the Education Minister and also inform the Education Department." (Instead of Hindus, if Muslims or Christians had gone to him with a complaint, the Congress Chief Minister would have immediately taken cognizance of the matter and given necessary directions. Hindus should remember that their persecution will not end unless they make the rulers realise that they cannot become rulers without their support. Hence, unite!

Liquor baron appointed Chairman of Tirumala Tirupati Devosthanam!
Bhagyanagar (Andhra Pradesh) - Liquor baron and expelled Telugu Desam Party MP from Chittoor, DK Adikesavalu Naidu was last month appointed Chairman of Tirumala Tirupati Devosthanam (TTD), the world's richest Hindu shrine, for having shown his loyalty to the UPA Government during the vote of confidence in the Lok Sabha.
According to sources, Adikesavalu will take over for a three-year term. The develop-ment, which was clinched after Adikesavalu met Chief Minister Y Samuel Rajasekhar Reddy, took everyone by surprise.
Adikesavalu had served as TTD Chairman during N Chandrababu Naidu's regime from November 2003 to April 2004 and his appointment then had allegedly triggered protests on the grounds that
'disrespect' was being shown to the Holy shrine by the appointment of a liquor baron as the Chairman.
He was the party treasurer when P V Narasihma Rao was the Congress President.
Adikesavalu was one of the two MPs who was expelled from the party by Chandrababu Naidu after the vote of confidence.
(This appointment is an insult to millions of Hindus all over the world. How can the UPA Government dare to appoint a liquor baron as Chairman of TTD? Hindus should give a befitting reply to the UPA Government in the forthcoming elections. Hindus should force the UPA Government to oust the liquor baron from TTD. - Editor)

Before the attack, some Muslims and Mr. Nayakwadi had threatened to kill seekers of DSP. Despite bringing this to the notice of Miraj Police, DSP office did not receive the necessary protection from them. This aspect was also highlighted in the representation.
