Hajj
    Pilgrimage to the Ka’ba in Makkah, Saudi Arabia.

Haldi
    The dried root of the turmeric plant. Turmeric has the ability to ward off negative energies. The yellow powder extracted from the dried root is sattvik and also has medicinal/antibiotic properties.

Hari-Hara
    Hari is a name of Lord Vishnu. Hara is a name of Lord Shiva. In the Hindu trinity, Lord Vishnu is the sustainer (of Creation), Lord Shiva is the destroyer (of Ignorance) and Lord Brahma is the creator.

Hari Om Bhagve
    A Hindu holy scripture.

Hari Om Tat Sat
    Sacred words by which God is often invoked. Hari refers to the manifest form of God; Om refers to the unmanifest form of the God; Tat means that; and Sat means the Truth. Thus, it implies that the manifest and unmanifest forms of the Lord are One and the same.

Hathayoga
    It consists of yogic practices, such as asanas, mudras, pranayam, etc., done for the purpose of purifying the physical and subtle bodies. The goal of Hathayoga is to awaken the spiritual energy or Kundalini. Hatha means deliberate and yoga means pathway leading to the union with God. Hathayoga means deliberately disciplining the body and increasing its tolerance, consequently increasing the tolerance of the mind, e.g., tolerating physical pain and unhappiness, doing what one does not like to do, sacrificing selfish interest and destroying one's desires.

Hathayogi
    A practitioner of the Path of Deliberate Rigor (Hathayoga).

Hazrat Nijmuddin
    A Sufi Saint and disciple of Pir Hazrat Phaddruddin.

Pir Hazrat Phaddruddin
    A Sufi Saint - he had several Saintly disciples, the most renowned of them is Hazrat Amir Khusro.

    The national language of India.

Hindu
    'Hin' means to remove and 'du' means darkness. In other words, any one who takes efforts to remove the darkness of spiritual ignorance, that is, a seeker, is a 'Hindu'.
