This is the neem tree under which H.H. Tembyeswami had His cottage. During His time the leaves of this neem tree would taste sweet.

H.H. Vasudevanand Tembyeswami took Samadhi in the year 1914 at Garudeshwar, dist. Narmada, Gujarat. This pilgrimage is located at the banks of the river Narmada and the temple of Narmadeshwar is next to it. While going around (doing Parikrama of) the river Narmada both these pilgrimages can be seen.

H.H. Shri Tembyeswami Maharaj happened to be the ideal teacher (Acharya) ! Deity Shri Dattatreya Himself incarnated in His form and set the Datta sect in complete order. He laid down the code of conduct at Deity Datta’s pilgrim places like Nrusimhawadi, Audumbar, Ganagapur and gave appropriate direction to the worship that was being carried then. He found out Shri Sripad Srivallabhswami’s birthplace Pithapur and Shri Nrusimha Saraswati Swami’s birthplace Karanja and instructed to start worship there. Many devotees of Datta are singing the ‘Karunatripadi’ – ‘Shant ho Sriguru Datta, mama chitta shamavi ata I’ every day. Various texts written by Him beautifully exhibit His outstanding knowledge and extraordinary intelligence. He was also well known as an excellent astrologer and knower of Ayurvedic medicines. Many scholars would be astonished with His unusual command over Sanskrut and Marathi languages. Holy texts like ‘Dattamahatmya’ ‘Saptashati Gurucharitrasar’, Dattaleelamrutabdhisar’, ‘Trishati Gurucharitra’, ‘Dwisahasri Gurucharitra’, ‘Dattapuran’ written by Him, so also hundreds of His stotras is the transcendental splendour of Datta sect. The songs, abhangs written by Him express His being soft hearted. He was incomparable linguist; besides His memory was fascinating. He was a supreme devotee having emotions and surrender-attitude and hence He could produce literature having such grandeur and bhav (Spiritual emotion).
